Asheville sits at the junction of Interstate 40 and Interstate 26 in the Blue Ridge, making it car-dependent for reaching the Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway, and mountain towns. Asheville Regional Airport is about 20 minutes south. Downtown is walkable for shops, restaurants and galleries, but the estates, spa resorts and cabins each require a car. The Interstates and Parkway connect Asheville with the Smoky Mountains, Boone and Waynesville within 30–60 minutes. Interstates 40 and 26 and the Blue Ridge Parkway connect Asheville with the Smokies, Boone and the mountain towns. Once you have arrived, plan to keep a car for day trips around the region; most attractions are an easy drive, and parking at the hotel is straightforward. There is no need to rush between stops — distances here are short, the roads are scenic, and you can comfortably pair a morning outing with an afternoon one and still be back at the hotel by evening.

Tub types, explained
Technically a brand name, but used generically for any jetted tub. In hotel listings, "jacuzzi suite" almost always means a private in-room tub with built-in air or water jets. Heat is usually preset; jets are user-controlled.
Functionally identical to a jacuzzi — water jets circulate heated water for a massage effect. The term is more common at Marriott, Hilton, and Wyndham brands. Most "whirlpool suites" hold two adults comfortably.
Deeper than a standard bathtub, usually 18–22 inches, but with no jets. Common in boutique and luxury hotels — quieter, more spa-like, and better for a long hot soak than the jet-driven hum of a jacuzzi.
In strict use, a standalone heated tub holding 100°F+ water. In hotel marketing, often used interchangeably with jacuzzi or whirlpool. A genuine in-room "hot tub" with full thermostat control is rare outside cabin-style resorts.
