What Guests Are Saying

“We stay at Willow Winds every time we come to Asheville and it has always been a great experience! The cabins are spacious and clean. My husband loves the tin of shortbread cookies that await you upon arrival and I really enjoy the information packet with a map and recommendations for dining and activities. The property keeps in regular (but not too frequent) contact, so you don’t have to worry if your reservation didn’t go through or that you won’t get your keys or access code on time! The grounds are fantastic with plenty of fun outdoor games as well as the Mountains-to-Sea Trail that backs up right on the property, so you don’t have to drive to enjoy a nice nature hike! We will continue to be Willow Winders because it’s just the perfect home base—serene but also convenient. You feel ensconced in nature while you’re there, but it’s not far to get to downtown or South Asheville.” — Ashley M., 5 stars

“Love the grounds, amenities, and location. You feel like you’re on a mountain retreat yet within easy reach of the area attractions. The cabin was comfortable, charming and well equipped with quality mattresses. Only glitch was we didn’t understand the light fixture controls in the main living area which was immediately attended to. Also left behind a charge cable and was notified same day and arranged a return. We’ll be back!” — dennis B., 5 stars

“We reserved a 2 bedroom cabin for a short visit in March. The short visit was extended twice. Amber and staff could not have been more accommodating. The cabins are clean, spacious and well stocked. The Willow Winds are our home away from home. Convenient location close enough to all highways and downtown, yet secluded that we felt like we were in the mountains. Access to the trails from the property is a bonus!” — Susan N., 5 stars

"My wife and I had our honeymoon here and were pretty nervous about it. We weren’t sure which cabin to pick, what differences there were between cabins, etc. We also wanted a rural countryside atmosphere while still close to the romantic town of asheville. The willow winds staff picked up on our first call and immediately helped us out. They even suggested and changed us to a more private cabin on their property after we had reserved a different one. And upon our second and third calls they were always prompt to pickup and answer any questions we may have. The property was very neat and clean and absolutely gorgeous. Very well taken care of. My wife and I loved walking the trail in the back, and loved catching trout from their stocked trout pond next to the cute little pet ducky. We also had a huge selection of DVD movies for us, giving us an amazing remote old time feel, to watch next to a genuine wood fire in a fireplace (which yes, we did make smores)! This place was amazing, highly highly recommend! We will 1000% be returning!"

"This place is an absolute gem. The nicest people in the office. The cabins are extremely clean, new appliances, loaded with everything you need, wonderful hot tub, comfortable bed, great water pressure. Wi-Fi and TV worked great with dvd’s in the cabin. The grounds are lovely, and feel like you’re in the mountains. Kids playground , badminton and basketball available. Stocked trout pond and cute pet duck. Close to Biltmore house. We plan to visit with family and make more memories."

"The cabins at Willow Winds are beautiful and so well appointed. The grounds are just lovely. One feels surrounded by the forest and the mountains but with all the amenities one could hope for and close to downtown shops and galleries. A great place for families, couples or singles - something for everyone! Staff is so nice to work with."
