What Guests Are Saying

“Our group of 14 college friends had a great weekend at Lantern Lodge. Our needs kept changing a bit as the date for the weekend approached, and they were able to accommodate changes and situate our rooms as close together as possible. The location is pretty hard to beat for a group like ours. It is pretty close to Biltmore House, the downtown scene, and the highway. There was plenty of free parking, and there were luggage carts easily available. The 3BR units are large enough to serve as a gathering space for us all, and between our units, we had almost everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the linens and pillows were just right. It was great that there was an elevator and that there was towel service daily. The infrastructure of the stairwells has issues with proper drainage of water and rust, so there were large puddles on the landings. Thankfully no one fell, but I worried about it all weekend. Our icemaker didn’t work, and the dishwasher in one of the units broke and therefore we couldn’t run it before checkout. It was a bummer that the little bar and restaurant space is being revamped, so it was closed while we were there. BUT, the team in the registration building was exceptional! There were lots of handouts available with recommendations for everything from hiking and breweries to breakfast joints, special events, and fine dining options. They worked really hard to make sure they understood our needs and did a great job accommodating all of them! Friendly, professional, customer service-driven, and very collaborative. I’m sure our group will be back to Lantern Lodge again!” — Jgmills, 5 stars

“We stayed here coming home from Orlando. We researched the area and liked that this place had bedrooms, multiple bathrooms and a full kitchen. I was wary at first due to some bad reviews. So I called the front desk and talked to Morgan, asked her why some of the reviews were good and some were bad. She let me know that these units are a profit share setup with single owners but managed by Lantern Lodge. She answered every question I had, was very helpful and I even met her when we checked in. She is awesome! Morgan told us her favorite pizza place, told us about a local antique store which was awesome too. Could not have had a better check in experience. I did have a room request to not face the parking lot, and they honored that as well. Now to the unit. Our condo was well appointed, looked just like the pictures. Very clean, and felt very comfortable. The beds were great, the bathrooms were huge, everything was as advertised. We also took the kids up to the pool, it is a bit of a walk depending on what unit you’re in, but not bad. The pool was clean, very big, had clean restrooms. Plenty of parking and noticed there were many nice vehicles in the parking lot, that says something in my opinion. We will absolutely stay here again if we’re in the area, I’m not sure about the other reviews on here, but our experience couldn’t have been much better. 5 stars” — Josh, 5 stars

“Stayed in the two bedroom. It was more like a nice apartment. One bathroom had a shower with seat and safety bar which was great for my older mother. I’d definitely stay there again. To note, there aren’t many dishes and lots of light from the parking lot in the bedrooms at night.” — rhettkiner, 5 stars

"We always make a point to overnight here on our way back and forth from Cincy to Kiawah. We've stayed (exclusively) here at least 4x/year for 10 years. The Residences at Biltmore offer great, spacious units, gorgeous grounds, and lovely balconies to decompress after a long drive. Most importantly, the team - Absolutely outstanding! Check-in/out is smooth and quick - even if your arrival is late! Makes a great home-base if you're there to explore the city or mountains. We just visited on the anniversary weekend of the tragic flood. The arts district is doing their best to rebuild, and is a sobering reminder. But there are still phenomenal restaurants and shopping available. We're incredibly grateful that there seems to have been minimal damage (if any?) to the Residences. This is why we choose to continue to return and pour our tourism dollars into Asheville. And The Residences at Biltmore offers a great place as both a destination spot and a wonderfully comfortable place to land between destinations! 10/10 recommend!"

"Truly don’t know what people are talking about with the beds being bad. Those beds are the most comfortable and incredible beds I’ve ever slept on. I came from Australia and was with my friend and her husband (they’re from South Carolina) and it was such a gorgeous condo, super warm and lovely inside and the bed I slept on was unreal. Pillows were incredibly comfortable, the mattress was sensational and I slept like a baby! 10/10!!!"

"3 of us stayed here in early November, choosing this spot because of the wild difference in price from hotel rooms. We had a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo with full kitchen, fireplace, balcony for under $250 a night. Unbelievable! And it was perfect! Only about a mile from downtown, with free parking and a restaurant and bar, what more could you ask for? And it also offered spa services in the unit so we had 3 lovely massages the first morning. Heaven! We loved it and cannot wait to come back next year (after it has changed its name)."
