"I can't say enough great things about this beautiful old home and the lovely hosts Karen and Steve! We visited during the Christmas season and the house was decorated and so very cozy. Linens are clean, beds are comfy, the water was hot, and the rooms are warm. Breakfast was also stellar. We had something different every day of our stay and each day was delicious. From hasbrown waffles/eggs/bacon to freshly baked muffins, egg cups and yogurt parfaits, breakfast was tasty and filling. Not to mention the coffee service direct to our room each morning beforehand and the daily afternoon treats at our door when we returned from our Asheville adventures. But what truly made our stay exceptional were the hosts, Karen and Steve. They were incredibly hospitable, attentive and accommodating. I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and this was by far the best one. They run this place like a home, not a business, and it truly makes for a wonderful stay and a difficult goodbye. They also provide excellent recommendations of things to do, see, and eat. If we're ever in Asheville again, this is the only place we'll stay!"

"My husband and I booked a weekend getaway in Asheville via a company called Pack Up + Go. This was our third trip with them so we knew what to expect. They take care of all accommodations and send you details. You show up and enjoy. No hassle with planning. Spot. On. With The Lion and the Rose Bed and Breakfast! Inside looked like a fairy tale story book from simpler days and we felt cozy and relaxed. Karen and Steve, the owners, were the best part! Delicious breakfast, kind hospitality, and the best local advice for our plans. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast. You will want to leave a review like I did!"

"If you want an amazing Bed and Breakfast stay in Asheville NC..this is the place! My daughter and I booked a last minute stay and it was effortless. We were warmly greeted by Karen upon arriving. Our room was beautiful and clean and comfortable. The bedding and mattress were very nice and we slept like babies. We had luxurious bathrobes after showers. Books were available to read and my daughter even found one about Biltmore:we were there to see all the decorations. Snacks and drinks were available and we even sampled some of Steve’s awesome beer. Morning coffee was placed outside our door:which was a blessing. Breakfast was a great delight. We had eggs, bacon and the most delicious pancakes. We will definitely stay here again! Karen and Steve make you feel welcome and special!"
