“This place is gorgeous and the best rooms I have ever stayed in. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are fantastic!!! The location is also great and it has the coolest little restaurant/bar attached to it called Fitz and the Wolfe. If you like live music, you can pick between two genres of music, one upstairs and a speakeasy downstairs along with pool tables. If that is not your thing, no problem because it does not interrupt your stay at the hotel is you just want peace and quiet. It is in the heart of downtown and you can walk to anything. There is also shopping, chocolate, smoothies, a spa and another restaurant all attached to it. It’s like a little mall. It highly, highly recommend this place. “Excellent hotel, right in the center of downtown Asheville. It’s former life as a department store gives is a quirky layout, and some of the rooms are bizarrely large as a result. If you are lucky enough to get one of those, you will be very happy. Lovely lobby downstairs and huge sitting areas upstairs. The rooms are quiet despite being surrounded by Asheville nightlife. The staff - especially at the front desk - go above and beyond to make you comfortable. And although I’d prefer not to have to deal with valet parking, the valets are fast and friendly. “We have stayed at the historic Haywood Park Hotel several times and once again we simply loved it! (2 rooms this time with elder family and a toddler) The staff is fantastic! & the location is perfect for us- close to really good restaurants, and the rooms are very spacious! We prefer the Superior Suite for the extra space but the standard rooms are really good too. Comfortable beds, nice baths, etc. Highly recommend” — Krista B., 5 stars

"We are local and recently had to stay here for 5 nights because our hvac broke. The staff are simply exceptional. I feel like good customer service is hard to come by these days - but every single one of these folks, reception, maintenance, valet, housekeeping - was so friendly and kind. You can’t beat the location, it’s in the heart of everything - yet absurdly quiet! The rooms are huge, the prices are totally reasonable. We had our huge pup with us the whole time, and he had plenty of space. Thank you all for making a challenging time extra special!"

The hotel itself is clean and unique in its design, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and its location is impossible to beat downtown. The staff have always been very friendly, as well; this past visit, Jenna was extremely welcoming and made our stay even better than it was!"
