Charlotte sits at the crossroads of Interstate 77 and Interstate 85 in the Piedmont region, a major commercial hub with excellent road access. Charlotte Douglas International Airport is about 15 minutes west; most visitors rent a car for flexibility reaching suburban hotels and attractions throughout the metro. Uptown is the most walkable zone, with the free LYNX light rail connecting downtown hotels, the NASCAR Hall of Fame, arenas and restaurants within the skyline core. However, SouthPark, University Place and Northlake are suburban, requiring a car to reach from Uptown or other zones. The interstates provide quick connections to nearby day trips — Concord and the Whitewater Center are under 30 minutes away. Parking is ample and typically free at suburban hotels; downtown Uptown locations use valet services. A car unlocks the full Charlotte metro experience. Uptown is walkable with the LYNX light rail, but SouthPark, University Place and Northlake need a car. Interstates 77 and 85 connect Charlotte with Concord, the Whitewater Center and the Triad cities.

Tub types, explained
Technically a brand name, but used generically for any jetted tub. In hotel listings, "jacuzzi suite" almost always means a private in-room tub with built-in air or water jets. Heat is usually preset; jets are user-controlled.
Functionally identical to a jacuzzi — water jets circulate heated water for a massage effect. The term is more common at Marriott, Hilton, and Wyndham brands. Most "whirlpool suites" hold two adults comfortably.
Deeper than a standard bathtub, usually 18–22 inches, but with no jets. Common in boutique and luxury hotels — quieter, more spa-like, and better for a long hot soak than the jet-driven hum of a jacuzzi.
In strict use, a standalone heated tub holding 100°F+ water. In hotel marketing, often used interchangeably with jacuzzi or whirlpool. A genuine in-room "hot tub" with full thermostat control is rare outside cabin-style resorts.
