Where to stay
Not every area in Miami hits the same vibe. Here's where each verified property actually sits, and what each pocket feels like at night.
Four of the five hot-tub-search hotels sit in downtown Miami or Brickell — all along Biscayne Bay. Mandarin Oriental, Miami (4.5, 3,908 reviews) at 500 Brickell Key Drive is the marquee — a luxury Mandarin-brand property on the private Brickell Key island with pool, spa, Michelin-caliber dining and 4.7 cleanliness + 4.7 sleep quality; value (4.1) softest at Mandarin rates. JW Marriott Marquis Miami (4.4, 2,400 reviews) at 255 Biscayne Boulevard Way is the JW-brand downtown convention pick with 4.8 cleanliness (the strongest in the Miami set), pool, bowling alley, children's activities and named concierge shoutouts (Andres Meneses) — a candid 4-star flag calls it 'oldish hotel with 70s or 80s feel... needs updating throughout.' Kimpton EPIC Hotel by IHG (4.4, 5,205 reviews) at 270 Biscayne Boulevard Way is the Kimpton downtown-waterfront pick with pool, bicycle rental, babysitting and consistent named-staff shoutouts (Hernan/Hernar/Herman appears in every recent 5-star review as the bellhop); largest review sample in the Miami set. East Miami (4.2, 1,314 reviews) at 788 Brickell Plaza in Brickell City Centre is the East Hotels Miami property with 4.7 location, pool, bar/lounge, nightclub/DJ and pet-friendly residential-style suites. Legacy 'Jacuzzi in Room' frontmatter at all four; TripAdvisor amenities do not confirm in-room whirlpools — verify at booking.
On the Miami Beach side across the MacArthur Causeway, in the heart of the South Beach Art Deco Historic District. Avalon Hotel Miami Beach (3.7, 1,113 reviews) at 700 Ocean Dr is a small 3-star Art Deco boutique steps to the sand. 4.8 location subrating (the strongest in the Miami set) reflects the direct Ocean Drive address, but rooms (3.5), value (3.7), sleep quality (3.7) and cleanliness (3.8) all soft. Legacy Hot Tub Hotels frontmatter markets in-room jacuzzi suites at Avalon and specifically calls out 'an in-room Jacuzzi... roomy enough for two and positioned near large windows'; TripAdvisor amenities do not explicitly list in-room whirlpools but the property markets them via its own materials — request the jacuzzi suite specifically at booking. Candid 1-star flags cite: no coffee/tea facility in rooms despite check-in promise, '$450 per night for a tiny room with not functioning Aircondition' and 'unexpected charges Fraud business.' Book only for South Beach Ocean Drive location-first Art Deco fans specifically wanting an in-room jacuzzi suite, accepting property-condition and Ocean Drive nighttime-noise tradeoffs.
Things to do in Miami
South Beach + Ocean Drive Art Deco Historic District on Miami Beach is Miami's most-photographed neighborhood — 800+ preserved Art Deco buildings, sidewalk cafes, Lummus Park along the beach, and the pastel-lit Ocean Drive strip that fills nightly. The Avalon Hotel is directly on Ocean Drive.
Wynwood + Wynwood Walls is Miami's arts district — the Wynwood Walls outdoor mural garden, Museum of Graffiti, craft breweries, galleries and restaurants. Best in early evening for cooler temperatures. Little Havana Calle Ocho with Domino Park, cigar rollers, walk-up ventanita coffee windows and Cuban restaurants is a half-day.
Brickell is downtown Miami's high-rise financial district — Brickell City Centre mall (where East Miami sits), Brickell Key island (where Mandarin Oriental sits), skyline restaurants and Metromover connections. Downtown Miami includes the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) at Museum Park, the Frost Museum of Science, Kaseya Center (Miami Heat NBA home), Bayside Marketplace on Biscayne Bay, and Bayfront Park.
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Coconut Grove is an Italian Renaissance-style estate on Biscayne Bay — a half-day. Coral Gables is a Mediterranean-Revival neighborhood with the Venetian Pool and the Biltmore Hotel. PortMiami on Dodge Island is the world's busiest passenger cruise port.
Beyond Miami — Fort Lauderdale 30 minutes north for Fort Lauderdale Beach A1A and Port Everglades; Miami Beach Mid-Beach/North Beach 10-20 minutes east for the Fontainebleau, Faena, Nobu and Eden Roc; Key Largo 1 hour south for John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park; Key West 3.5 hours south for Duval Street and Mallory Square sunset. Seasonal highlights: Art Basel Miami Beach (early December — book Miami hotels 6-9 months ahead), Miami Open tennis (March), Ultra Music Festival (late March), Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix (May), South Beach Wine & Food Festival (February), Miami Spice restaurant month (August-September).

When to visit
Hot tub stays read differently in February than they do in July. Here's what to expect across the year — temperatures, signature events, the local vibe, and how rates move.
Tub types, explained
Technically a brand name, but used generically for any jetted tub. In hotel listings, "jacuzzi suite" almost always means a private in-room tub with built-in air or water jets. Heat is usually preset; jets are user-controlled.
Functionally identical to a jacuzzi — water jets circulate heated water for a massage effect. The term is more common at Marriott, Hilton, and Wyndham brands. Most "whirlpool suites" hold two adults comfortably.
Deeper than a standard bathtub, usually 18–22 inches, but with no jets. Common in boutique and luxury hotels — quieter, more spa-like, and better for a long hot soak than the jet-driven hum of a jacuzzi.
In strict use, a standalone heated tub holding 100°F+ water. In hotel marketing, often used interchangeably with jacuzzi or whirlpool. A genuine in-room "hot tub" with full thermostat control is rare outside cabin-style resorts.
Every listing on this page specifies which type you'll find in the room. We list only properties with the tub in your room — not in a shared pool area or the lobby spa.

Common questions
Why trust us
Every hotel on this page has been personally verified to have a private, in-room hot tub or jacuzzi — not a shared pool tub, not a bathroom soaker, not a spa amenity you have to book. We cross-check three sources for every listing: the hotel's own room photos and descriptions, recent guest reviews on TripAdvisor and Google, and direct confirmation from the hotel where unclear. We don't take payment for placement, and we don't generate listings with AI. If a hotel's tub status changes or a property closes, the page updates the next time we re-verify the city (Dothan was last checked May 2026).
