On the Rehoboth Boardwalk directly or a few blocks off Rehoboth Avenue walking-distance to the beach, six hotels serve the classic Rehoboth Beach walking-beach experience. Boardwalk Plaza Hotel (4.7, 2726 reviews) at 2 Olive Avenue is the Victorian oceanfront BOARDWALK MARQUEE — a 4-star with shared hot tub, bar/lounge, adults-only options, business center, conference facilities and a perfect 5.0 location subrating; a 5-star guest wrote 'This hotel has ruined all other hotels for me. It's consistently amazing. The rooms are so clean. The location can't be beat.' Atlantic Sands Hotel (3.3, 887 reviews) at 1 Baltimore Avenue is a 3-star direct-boardwalk value pick with pool, bar/lounge and 4.8 location subrating — but candid 1-star flags on outdated rooms and 'false advertising online' photos ('carpet was buckled, old and smelly'). Avenue Inn & Spa (4.8, 5146 reviews) at 33 Wilmington Avenue is the walkable spa boutique with pool, free breakfast (plus wine and cheese at 5pm and cookies and milk at 8pm), free parking and a large spa tub confirmed by a 5-star guest ('we really enjoyed the large spa tub every day'). Brighton Suites Hotel (3.9, 386 reviews) at 34 Wilmington Avenue is a 3-star 2 blocks off the boardwalk with pool and beach chair rentals — a 1-star candid guest cited dirty pool and weed-smell staff. Canalside Inn (4.3, 341 reviews) at 34 6th Street is the pet-friendly quiet-neighborhood pick with pool, complimentary coffee, bicycles and beach umbrellas. The Bellmoor Inn & Spa (4.7, 3814 reviews) at 6 Christian Street is the SPA MARQUEE with pool, on-site spa, free breakfast, shuttle bus service and a 10-minute walk to the beach.
On Coastal Highway (Route 1) 5-15 minutes north of the boardwalk near Tanger Outlets Rehoboth Beach, five hotels serve outlets shoppers, family beach weeks, corporate travelers and value-first Rehoboth visitors. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rehoboth Beach by IHG (4.7, 498 reviews) at 18438 Kates Lane is the TOP-RATED corridor pick — 4-star HIE recently remodeled with pool, free breakfast, fitness center, kids-stay-free, cleanliness 4.8 and named staff Marcy, George and Mikayla with the 'Woof Wall' pet-friendly feature. Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Rehoboth Beach (4.2, 283 reviews) at 19113 Coastal Highway is the Marriott corporate alternative with pool, free breakfast and kids-stay-free. Hampton Inn Rehoboth Beach (4.2, 913 reviews) at 18826 Coastal Highway is the largest-review Hilton on the corridor with pool, free breakfast, fitness center, pet-friendly and children's activities. Anchorage Motel (3.8, 148 reviews) at 18809 Coastal Highway is a value budget motel with NO pool and NO hot tub but a 2025 CANDID bed-bug flag from a painter's crew ('BEWARE! Bed bugs! My painters stayed here one night and two people woke up with bites'). Econo Lodge Resort (2.4, 314 reviews) at 19540 Coastal Highway is the STRONGEST warning — 2-star with cleanliness 2.5, rooms 2.5 and candid 1-star 'Stay Away' and 'No thanks' reviews on quality, cleanliness and safety.
Off the main Coastal Highway corridor, two hotels serve the extremes of the Rehoboth spectrum. The Homestead at Rehoboth Bed & Breakfast (4.9, 338 reviews) at 35060 Warrington Road is the REHOBOTH MARQUEE stay — 4-star Rehoboth B&B with outdoor pool, free breakfast, patio, board games/puzzles, pet-friendly rooms, open-air bath and a CONFIRMED in-room jacuzzi tub in the Carriage House Loft per a 5-star guest ('My husband and I spent three nights in the lovely carriage loft room with the wonderful jacuzzi tub, just what we needed to help get rid of our aged leg cramps'). Subratings 4.6-5.0 with cleanliness 5.0 perfect and service 5.0 perfect. Hotel Wave (3.6, 585 reviews) at 36012 Airport Road is a 3-star dog-friendly value pick — pool, free breakfast, kids-stay-free, baggage storage — but candid 1-2 star flags on dirty carpets, urine smell, moldy rooms, rusty fixtures and cancelled-reservation-on-arrival complaints.
Things to do in Rehoboth Beach
Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk is the anchor — a 1-mile wooden boardwalk stretching from Silver Lake at the south end to Baltimore Avenue at the north end, lined with beach-food kiosks, saltwater taffy shops (Dolle's Salt Water Taffy since 1927), Funland (classic family amusement park since 1962 with the Sea Dragon and Haunted Mansion), the Bandstand and views out over the Atlantic. Fireworks on July 4 and the Sea Witch Halloween Festival late October fill the boardwalk.
Rehoboth Avenue is the main drag from Coastal Highway east to the boardwalk — restaurants, bars, gift shops, LGBTQ+ nightlife (Rehoboth is one of the East Coast's largest LGBTQ+ beach destinations), the flagship Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats brewpub (the original Dogfish Head brewery location and the ale-focused restaurant), Grotto Pizza and dozens of family-and-couples dining spots.
Tanger Outlets Rehoboth Beach on Coastal Highway (Route 1) is the tax-free-shopping draw — Delaware charges no sales tax, a major regional pull for Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore and New Jersey visitors. Anchor tenants Nike, Coach, Under Armour and Kate Spade across two outlets centers on Route 1.
Funland Rehoboth on the boardwalk is the family-vacation touchstone — 19 rides, 6 games, cash-only tickets, unchanged since 1962 in the best possible way. Rehoboth Beach Museum and Anna Hazzard Museum on Christian Street cover boardwalk-town history.
Cape Henlopen State Park is 10 minutes north near Lewes for beach, boardwalk-to-nowhere WW2 observation towers, hiking, cycling and camping. Silver Lake immediately south of the boardwalk offers swan-watching walks. Rehoboth Bay west of town has sailing, fishing and paddling. Ocean City MD is 30 minutes south for Maryland's classic 10-mile boardwalk beach town; Lewes is 10 minutes north for the historic Delaware Bay town and Cape May-Lewes Ferry.
Spring brings Memorial Day peak-season kickoff; summer runs peak beach weeks, LGBTQ+ vacation, Boardwalk Bandstand summer concerts, and Funland peak; fall is Sea Witch Halloween Festival late October and Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival plus warm-water swimming through September; winter is Polar Bear Plunge February 1 and quiet off-season boardwalk walks.

Getting here
Rehoboth Beach sits on the Atlantic coast in Sussex County on Coastal Highway (Route 1) about 90 minutes southeast of Wilmington and 3 hours from Washington DC and Baltimore. Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport (SBY) is about 45 minutes south; Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is about 2.5 hours north; Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) is about 2.5-3 hours west. Coastal Highway (Route 1) is the main corridor with Tanger Outlets, chain hotels and Anchorage/Econo Lodge/Fairfield/Hampton/HIE lined up along it 5-15 minutes north of the boardwalk. Rehoboth Avenue is the main east-west road to the boardwalk with Avenue Inn, Brighton Suites and downtown restaurants; Boardwalk Plaza and Atlantic Sands sit directly on the boardwalk (2 Olive Avenue and 1 Baltimore Avenue respectively); The Bellmoor Inn & Spa is 3 blocks from the beach on Christian Street; Canalside Inn is on 6th Street in a quiet residential area; The Homestead B&B is off-corridor on Warrington Road; Hotel Wave is on Airport Road. Peak-season summer Route 1 traffic is heavy — allow extra time and consider parking downtown once and walking. A car is helpful for outlets shopping and day trips to Cape Henlopen, Lewes and Ocean City MD, but downtown Rehoboth is highly walkable within a few blocks of the boardwalk.
When to visit
Hot tub stays read differently in February than they do in July. Here's what to expect across the year — temperatures, signature events, the local vibe, and how rates move.
Tub types, explained
Technically a brand name, but used generically for any jetted tub. In hotel listings, "jacuzzi suite" almost always means a private in-room tub with built-in air or water jets. Heat is usually preset; jets are user-controlled.
Functionally identical to a jacuzzi — water jets circulate heated water for a massage effect. The term is more common at Marriott, Hilton, and Wyndham brands. Most "whirlpool suites" hold two adults comfortably.
Deeper than a standard bathtub, usually 18–22 inches, but with no jets. Common in boutique and luxury hotels — quieter, more spa-like, and better for a long hot soak than the jet-driven hum of a jacuzzi.
In strict use, a standalone heated tub holding 100°F+ water. In hotel marketing, often used interchangeably with jacuzzi or whirlpool. A genuine in-room "hot tub" with full thermostat control is rare outside cabin-style resorts.
Every listing on this page specifies which type you'll find in the room. We list only properties with the tub in your room — not in a shared pool area or the lobby spa.

Common questions
Why trust us
Every hotel on this page has been personally verified to have a private, in-room hot tub or jacuzzi — not a shared pool tub, not a bathroom soaker, not a spa amenity you have to book. We cross-check three sources for every listing: the hotel's own room photos and descriptions, recent guest reviews on TripAdvisor and Google, and direct confirmation from the hotel where unclear. We don't take payment for placement, and we don't generate listings with AI. If a hotel's tub status changes or a property closes, the page updates the next time we re-verify the city (Dothan was last checked May 2026).
