We had a quick weekend trip in Rehoboth and were looking for a somewhat reasonably priced hotel. I can’t believe that we paid $250 for the quality that we received. The hotel did not feel safe’; a 1-star ‘No thanks’ wrote ‘If you’re looking for cheap priced hotel, you got it there. The beds were clean but went downhill after that. Our bathroom door was coming apart. The shower handle was about to pop off. I don’t think the carpets were cleaned’; a 1-star ‘If in need of a place’ wrote ‘Great price for the weekday summer rate of approximately $100. However the rooms were filthy, the corridors were filled with trash. Cute balcony, pool available but many things broken rusted and of course outdated’; balanced against a 5-star ‘Beach vacation with family’ wrote ‘Easy check in! Wonderful accommodating employees!! Great location easy access to shopping boardwalk and all beach activities! Best price in Rehoboth Beach with wonderful staff!’ Book only with extreme caution if you accept the 2.4 rating and multiple 1-star STRONGEST candid warnings.

“This is a Great hotel for the price and location. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the room and the pool. There is also a decent Continental breakfast. There are tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance and the beach is literally just a few miles away. The staff were hard working, our room was very clean and the AC was great. “In town to visit the Schellville Christmas Village, we stayed at the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites located only a 1/2 mile away. Our room rate was a bargain at $51 for a 1st floor king room that had been renovated. The hotel is older, probably built in the 1980’s and needs a little touch up here and there but was fine for our purposes. They had an attractive swimming pool out front and a small continental breakfast. They served cereal, muffins, Pepperidge Farm raisin bread, bagels, oatmeal, teas, coffee and orange juice. There was no waffle maker, but it was enough to get us on the road and often what I eat at home normally. For those underwhelmed and for some reason can’t make do for a day with this breakfast there is a Cracker Barrell restaurant 30 yards from the Econo Lodge. Would certainly stay here again under the same type circumstances. Close to all 3 Tanger outlets and a ton of restaurants along busy Route !. Minutes to the beach and boardwalk.” — Mark G., 3 stars

"Keeping in mind that this is an Econo Lodge and not a luxury hotel like many of you seem to expect, it was a great value for the price. We stayed for 5 nights and the only complaint I had is that we booked a non-smoking room, and immediately upon entering, it smelled like smoke. It stopped after you were in the room for a minute or two, but didn’t even realize smoking rooms were still a thing. The floor could have been cleaned a bit better but other than that, we really had no issues. Our housekeeper personally checked in with us each day and called the room to see if we needed anything if we didn’t happen to run into her in the hallway already. It was just a place to shower and sleep, we didn’t use the pool or breakfast. Distance to the beach is not bad at all. We got to Dewey in under 10 mins even with traffic. I would have no issues rebooking!"
