We ventured out to Berkeley Springs and visited The Country Inn of Berkeley Springs as soon as we could! Berkeley Springs is worth visiting for a number of reasons. This is a spa town that everyone should explore, and we loved our time here every time. Even found a mini Jesus in Berkeley Springs State Park during our vacation couple of years ago. It must have been a great reminder to me that it’s Almost Heaven is here WEST VIRGINIA! Find a little Jesus goes a way and spread the word about positivity around! George Washington visited the springs frequently, and his bathhouse can still be found at Berkeley Springs State Park. Incorporated in 1776, the town holds the distinction of being the first spa town in the United States. Native Americans introduced colonists to the healing waters. Early developer George Washington envisioned a sanitarium like Britain’s Roman Bath. Bath became Berkeley Springs but the official municipal name remains Bath. I’d been to Bath, UK before, but whenever the city was mentioned I always thought of the Roman Baths and connection with Berkeley Springs. Who doesn’t love the Romans? Bath stands out as one of the most elegant cities in England. The baths which still sit on the original site of the underground springs are the perfect place to reflect on them. Bath is beautiful, I spent a lot of time there while studying abroad in Great Britain. Aside from the obvious attraction of the Roman Baths, which gave the city its name, there are an array of Georgian homes, Italianate bridges over the winding River Avon, and ornately decorated buildings on every street. Even the modern shopping precinct remains in keeping with the general air of gentility. It’s basically a posh version of Berkeley Springs. The Roman baths are the primary ancient attraction in Bath. They are, however, something of a Victorian restoration of how they would once have been. Beyond the bath itself, there’s also a museum with related Roman artefacts. They are also real towns where people live and work. Both Berkeley Springs and Bath are the cities that has it all. From shopping and exploring the historic Roman baths, to taking a dip in the mineral-rich waters of the Roman Bath Spa, they are the places not to be missed. There are restaurants, shopping, and a great nightlife that make this a popular destination for tourists. Soaking up that old town charm in the mineral spring waters is one of the favorite activities of visitors. Exploring the many shops, the famous sights and museums, and the gorgeous scenery is a must. Also, you can soak up the small town charm, learn about the history of the town, and take advantage of the local nightlife. Berkeley Springs and Bath is well known and famous for its world-renowned Roman built baths as well as its historical architecture and many museums. People visit this impressive spa town for its great museums and attractions. It is also known for its great historical sights and shopping. And many visitors also come to this spa town for its food and nightlife. It is often described as historical, beautiful, architectural, and charming. This place is worth the trip. “Our second time visiting Berkley Springs and second stay at this Inn. We stayed in the newer section which is attached to the in. Via a walkway, loved our room, the pub , bartenders and food!
