Things to do in Woodstock
Woodstock's charm lies in its walkable downtown and nearby natural wonders. The village green and Elm Street are the heart — lined with boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and bookshops, anchored by the iconic covered bridge over the Ottauquechee River. Billings Farm & Museum is a working Jersey dairy farm and museum of rural Vermont life, just a short walk from the center; it's especially magical during fall and holiday seasons. Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park — Vermont's only national park — sits on the hillside above town, featuring a Victorian mansion, carriage-road trails through forest, and panoramic views of the valley below.
East of town, Quechee Gorge, Vermont's "Little Grand Canyon," is about 15 minutes away, where a dramatic 165-foot chasm cuts through the landscape. You can hike scenic trails or explore the VINS nature center nearby. For a gentler escape, Mount Tom and Faulkner Park offer in-town hiking with village-and-valley views from the summit, reachable in 30 minutes on foot. In winter and fall, Saskadena Six (the Woodstock-owned ski area) and the Woodstock Nordic Center are perfect for downhill and cross-country skiing. Nearby Sugarbush Farm and area sugarhouses offer maple-syrup and cheese tastings year-round. Foodies should venture to nearby Norwich (about 25 minutes) for the King Arthur Baking flagship and baking school, one of America's most iconic culinary institutions.
There is more within easy reach: Suicide Six / Saskadena Six ski area; The King Arthur Baking flagship and baking school in nearby Norwich.
Make a night of it
A hot tub stay in Woodstock isn't just about the soak — it's about what you do before you slip in. These pairings turn an ordinary night into a story you'll repeat.
Spend the morning exploring the working Jersey dairy farm and rural-life museum at Billings Farm, then return to your room for an afternoon jacuzzi soak by the fireplace — the perfect reward after a crisp walk through fall foliage.
Drive 15 minutes east to hike Quechee Gorge's scenic trails or explore the VINS nature center, then book a spa treatment at the Woodstock Inn Resort or settle into your jacuzzi for a quiet soak and dinner-in-room evening.
Tackle the 30-minute Mount Tom hike for village-and-valley views, then walk back down to Elm Street for dinner at one of Woodstock's acclaimed restaurants. Return to your fireplace room for a relaxing jacuzzi soak.
Browse boutiques, galleries, and bookshops on Elm Street and around the green all afternoon, then retreat to your inn's fireplace room for a jacuzzi soak, tea, and tomorrow's plans.
Ski Woodstock's local area (Saskadena Six or Woodstock Nordic) in the morning or afternoon, then head back to your hotel for a warming jacuzzi soak and dinner by the fire.

Getting here
Woodstock sits on US-4 in the Upper Valley; I-89 (Exit 1) is about 15 minutes east near Quechee. Lebanon Municipal Airport (LEB) is roughly 25 minutes away, while Burlington International (BTV) is about 1 hour 45 minutes northwest. Boston is about 2 hours 30 minutes southeast — easily drivable for a long weekend. A car is recommended for exploring the region; the village itself is compact and very walkable, and most inns are a short walk from the green. Fair warning: Woodstock can be congested during peak foliage season (September–October), so plan ahead and arrive early or book off-peak. Once you have arrived, plan to keep a car for day trips around the region; most attractions are an easy drive, and parking at the hotel is straightforward. There is no need to rush between stops — distances in this part of Maine are short, the roads are scenic, and you can comfortably pair a morning outing with an afternoon one and still be back at the hotel by evening.
When to visit
Hot tub stays read differently in February than they do in July. Here's what to expect across the year — temperatures, signature events, the local vibe, and how rates move.
Tub types, explained
Technically a brand name, but used generically for any jetted tub. In hotel listings, "jacuzzi suite" almost always means a private in-room tub with built-in air or water jets. Heat is usually preset; jets are user-controlled.
Functionally identical to a jacuzzi — water jets circulate heated water for a massage effect. The term is more common at Marriott, Hilton, and Wyndham brands. Most "whirlpool suites" hold two adults comfortably.
Deeper than a standard bathtub, usually 18–22 inches, but with no jets. Common in boutique and luxury hotels — quieter, more spa-like, and better for a long hot soak than the jet-driven hum of a jacuzzi.
In strict use, a standalone heated tub holding 100°F+ water. In hotel marketing, often used interchangeably with jacuzzi or whirlpool. A genuine in-room "hot tub" with full thermostat control is rare outside cabin-style resorts.
Every listing on this page specifies which type you'll find in the room. We list only properties with the tub in your room — not in a shared pool area or the lobby spa.

Common questions
Why trust us
Every hotel on this page has been personally verified to have a private, in-room hot tub or jacuzzi — not a shared pool tub, not a bathroom soaker, not a spa amenity you have to book. We cross-check three sources for every listing: the hotel's own room photos and descriptions, recent guest reviews on TripAdvisor and Google, and direct confirmation from the hotel where unclear. We don't take payment for placement, and we don't generate listings with AI. If a hotel's tub status changes or a property closes, the page updates the next time we re-verify the city (Dothan was last checked May 2026).
