What Guests Are Saying
“Our trip was just perfection and mainly because of the Vesper. Jessica and Jasmine who run everything are amazing. They were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast was brilliant. Plenty of choice with fruit, yoghurt, bread for toasting, porridge, eggs, cereal and little cakes, tea/coffee. Location was also so convenient. All round this place is perfect for a stay in Vermont, especially at this time of year (December), it was so cosy and homely.” — LB, 5 stars
“Had a lovely stay at The Vesper. It is an old house so there are some quirks. My room was a bit cold for me, but the bed linens and down comforter kept me cozy and warm. My particular room (Fela) did not have a TV in case that’s important to you. Great location in downtown Woodstock. Jessica, the innkeeper is a delight. Continental breakfast was a nice spread and plentiful. Would definitely stay here again.” — Judy L., 5 stars
“Great place to stay, very convenient to downtown Woodstock. The room was spacious and the bed and bedding was great! We had a chance to talk with Dana at breakfast, she was a great host and we really enjoyed the conversation and information about the area. The breakfast was very good. My wife and felt that this was our best stay during our whole trip!” — Park J., 5 stars

What guests are saying about The Vesper.
"We booked 2 rooms for a night at the Vesper and truly loved the place. The self-check-in could not have been easier. The rooms were big and beautifully designed in a warm, simple, slightly eclectic style. We all slept great and enjoyed having good coffee and some light breakfast items the next morning. All of that plus great communication from the owners and very reasonable rates (esp. considering it's right in the heart of Woodstock) make it a place we feel sure we'll return to."

The place is beautiful — cozy, stylish, and full of thoughtful touches. Our room was super comfortable, and the whole vibe struck the perfect balance between laid-back and luxurious. Jessica, the innkeeper, was amazing — so welcoming and full of great recommendations for things to do around town. The location couldn’t be better, just a quick walk to all the shops and restaurants. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to come back!"

View on Google"Spent a long time trying to decide which BnB to stay in Woodstock, and so glad I decided to stay at the Vesper! Such a fantastic location, easy to walk around everywhere downtown, easy parking and Jessica was wonderful with check in and check out. The room itself surpassed my expectations, it was spacious and so clean and rustic- the working fireplace was literally a gem during the chilly nights in November. The showers were hot and the room had everything we needed. The noise in the BnB was just from it being an old house. We stayed on the first floor and could hear the creaking from upstairs or if people closed their doors, but it wasn’t a disruption to our stay and not a complaint as people were respectful. I would 10/10 recommend the Vesper to anyone looking for a wonderful, charming and convenient place to stay in Woodstock! It was exactly what I wanted to stay in a cute small town. I look forward to returning!"
