“First, the grounds are absolutely beautiful. It was raining on and off during our stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy them as much as we would have liked. Our room was on the second floor, and we had a great view of the grounds. It was very quiet and comfortable. There were vacant rooms on our floor, and I peeked into a few of them. “Booked a last minute stay here for 1 night and the property was charming, quiet and clean. Just 5 minutes outside of the main drag in Woodstock. (not walkable, but an easy drive/parking situation) Only drawback: The customer service call center that they have set up for reservations and billing was difficult to deal with and impersonal. The Location
On Senior Lane just outside Woodstock village (about a 5-minute drive, not walkable), set on beautiful landscaped grounds with gardens and scenic vistas. The village green, shops, restaurants, and covered bridge are minutes away by car. Quechee Gorge is about 15 minutes east and Killington about 30 minutes west. "What an amazing inn. We checked in on Friday and settled into our room on the top floor. Our room had a gorgeous view of the manicured grounds and mountains beyond. We spent the rest of the evening at the property, lounging in the bar with charming bartender, and then enjoying a great meal at Oakes and Evelyn. Can't recommend it enough. We loved the crudo dishes and the home made pasta. On previous visits to Woodstock we stayed at the Woodstock Inn which is also lovely, but is more than twice the price and lacks the intimacy of The Jackson. Everything is designed so purposefully and the staff is wonderful. We'll be back soon."

View on Google"A few weeks ago, we stumbled across the Jackson Inn for breakfast. It was wonderful food and service! Highly recommend! Huge portions that left us waddling out afterwards.Wish we had took a picture of the food before inhaling it. Will definitely return if in the area again. We really enjoyed our waiter Richard’s company and service."

View on Google"The location was wonderful, the rooms were nice albeit a bit expensive, it reminded me of my time spent in guest houses in Europe (in the best way possible). The hotel had a nice cozy feel to it and old charm. They offered free wine and cheese in the evening however, they did not offer free breakfast, though they do have a restaurant they run out of the hotel. The restaurant is very expensive but it is lovely. I would mention for older travelers that there is only stairs for most of the rooms and some of the smaller rooms have small winding stairs to climb to get to room. All in all it was a lovely quiet stay."
