What Guests Are Saying
“My husband and I travel frequently and if a Hampton Inn is available at a place in the US we are visiting,we generally book a room because of its consistent high quality services. We recently had the BEST Hampton Inn visit EVER in Wheeling , WVA. Every single hotel staff member was exceptionally kind and helpful. Our room/ bed/ shower were excellent. We absolutely loved the pool and hot tub amenities. They were exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was delicious and the offerings included a variety of thoughtful dietary considerations ( fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, potatoes, bread, bagels, scones , etc) But our best surprise was the EVERY Monday night free dining experience offered to guests! Delicious food ( our menu was an All American BBQ for Memorial Day.. burgers, hot dogs, watermelon ,pastries. salads, and beer and wine if desired. Dinner was prepared and offered buffet style in a lovely garden setting! It was absolutely OUTSTANDING and free to guests. !! Thank you Jack and your co workers who made our evening extra memorable. If you need a great place to stay in Wheeling and it happens to be a Monday night, do not hesitate to book your stay at this wonderful 10 star hotel !! But having the experience we did, any night of the week would be wonderful.” — Gil33c, 5 stars
“I absolutely loved this hotel, its amenities, and the exceptional service provided by the staff. Everybody was so friendly and so nice. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, the rooms featured large televisions, and the hotel offers a convenient shuttle service within a five-mile radius. Don’t miss the Sunday morning blueberry pancakes outside in the garden area. What a wonderful amenity to offer the guests. During our stay, the shuttle took us downtown to the riverfront, where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner and live music at a local restaurant. One thing I wish I had known earlier is that this shuttle service is available; we did not learn about it during our Tuesday stay and only discovered it when we returned on Saturday. We took full advantage of it then. The experience was so enjoyable that I am already considering planning a staycation here to spend more time exploring Wheeling and everything the area has to offer.” — Julia B., 5 stars
“This is one of the best Hampton Inn properties I have ever ever stayed at. No wonder it has received so many acknowledgements and awards, from guests and Hilton. This property has an indoor pool with rain effect, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, splash pad, sauna/steam room, basketball/tennis court combo, corn hole games, a decent fitness center, outdoor grill, fire pit, plenty of outdoor seating, and more. The other reviews talk about the Monday night manager special with complementary food and beverages; it was pork chop night when I was there. The rooms and breakfast are typical Hampton but the amenities are unique and the smiles from the staff are truthful. Shuttle service is offered and the staff is exceptionally helpful. The hotel is thoroughly clean. Behaved pets are welcomed, EV charging stations are provided, parking is ample, and your stay is sure to be a pleasant one.” — ExploreTheWorld, 5 stars

What guests are saying about Hampton Inn Wheeling.
"I had an absolutely amazing stay at the Hampton Inn in Wheeling from 11/14/25-11/16/25. All of the staff was kind, friendly and went above and beyond making my stay exceptional. Every single staff member I encountered deserves a raise. The free hot breakfast and the indoor pool and hot tub were also an awesome bonus. Not to mention how quick and convenient the free shuttle service anywhere within a 5 mile radius was. If I ever need to visit West Virginia again, I will definitely be staying here!"

We were warmly greeted by the general manager who was working the front desk and all the staff the we encountered went out of their way to be nice. The next morning Jack the gm was out front cooking homemade blueberry pancakes an addition to the included breakfast. The room and facility was very nice and well kept. The shuttle service to the area was also fast and efficient. We will be returning the next time we are in the area."
