What Guests Are Saying

“Our experience at Stonewall Resort was outstanding from start to finish! We recently held a meeting at the resort and combined it with a Mosaic Boat Cruise and a round of golf, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The meeting facilities were excellent, with a beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, and a professional staff that made everything easy and seamless. The resort provided the perfect environment for both business and relaxation. The Mosaic Boat Cruise was a highlight of the trip. It was a fantastic way to unwind, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and spend time together outside of the meeting room. The atmosphere was relaxing, the views were beautiful, and it was a memorable experience for everyone in our group.” — Shane W., 5 stars

“Live close by and have always had a wonderful time and great food. One time at Lightburns in early evening counted 8 deer grazing close by. Another time daughter went outside at Stillwaters and stood for a photo taken by friend that looked like she was holding the moon. I do miss the trout at Lightburns!! That was a memorable dish!! Everything is handicap accessible and staff will bring out a wheelchair and help with access. They will also park your car for you and go and get it when you finish dining. All bathrooms are handicap accessible. Holiday decorations are very pretty!!” — Mary J., 5 stars

“This was our second visit. It is a great relaxing trip before we take our son back to Davis & Elkins. It has everything we love to do as a family. Boating, fishing, golf and hiking for the boys and the spa and pool for me and my daughter. We stayed in a three bedroom cottage and had plenty of room for the 4 of us. We will likely book again next August.” — BBS H., 5 stars

"Clean, standard lodge rooms. Front desk was extremely friendly. The hotel was busy, but we did not hear our neighbors. Room service was prompt and delicious. The views of the lake were spectacular. Onsite restaurants and gift shop were well appointed and reasonably priced."

"Even in the winter me and my family had a blast! There was still lots of stuff to do like hiking around the lake and swimming in the warm indoor and outdoor pool. I highly recommend to stay here anytime of the year!"

"I found this on the internet and thought we would give it a try. To be honest, my hopes were not high at this price point. However, we absolutely loved it! We wanted an active vacation and this provides!! The walking trails are plentiful, the outfitters pass with kayaking availability let us take a 3 hour kayaking voyage, my husband is a triathlete and he was able to find a 25 mile bike loop and a 10K run! He loved the bike loop so much he did it one last time the day we left! We were able to be active, and recuperate in the jacuzzi and the spa! We ate lunches in the room which we're able to do w/the fridge and then we embraced the restaurants for a nice evenings out! Our favorite was Lightbridge on Jazz night! We went there twice and the smoked pork shoulder was the best. The surrounding town is small but there are a few attractions. We enjoyed the glass blowing and the staff there is so helpful. We did the history tour at the asylum. It was interesting but the resort was the best part of the trip. It really was just absolutely fabulous. You cannot beat it for the price point. It was wonderful for us and we already have another trip booked with us and our kids in the Spring. Totally worth the drive from Virginia Beach."
