About The Hotel

The Motel 6 Huntington is a 2-star Motel 6 budget property (rebranded from the older ‘Huntington Inn’ brand) at 4644 US Route 60 on the east side of Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia, in the WV-KY-OH Tri-State region. Rated 2.7 across only 19 reviews - LOW OVERALL RATING and LOW REVIEW COUNT with weak subratings: location 2.6 (top), service 2.6, sleep quality 2.2, cleanliness 2.1, rooms 2.0, value 2.0. Priced $85-$86 per night. Amenities include free parking, WiFi, HOT TUB on-site (per property amenity list) and pet-friendly rooms. NOTABLE: In-room JACUZZI ROOM confirmed by a 2019 5-star reviewer: ‘Great stay after renovations! Stayed in a Jacuzzi room for two nights super clean great environment will definitely come back and stay again had a great time great service friendly service from friendly people if you’re coming to Huntington you shoul’ stay here. Another 5-star: ‘Nice people, nice place. Clean, friendly, serviced my room everyday, a ten plus. I left the red roof inn to stay here. In town for work 2 weeks now. Should have come here first.’ This is unusual for a stripped-down Motel 6 rebrand and one of the few confirmed in-room jacuzzi options among West Virginia budget hotels. But significant 2023-onward candid warnings apply. A 1-star: ‘Terrible experience finding crystal meth. Found crystal meth velcroed under a chair. Called police. Hotel wouldn’t give me a refund. This place needs shut down.’ Another 1-star: ‘Horrible!! Front desk guy was creepy and rude. Charged $20 cash deposit. Said rooms were non smoking but all 3 rooms reeked of smoke. Pillows were flat. 2 of the rooms heater didn’t work.’ Book with clear-eyed expectations of both the confirmed jacuzzi rooms and the candid flags. Huntington sits on the Ohio River at the WV-KY-OH Tri-State intersection - about 10 minutes east of Marshall University, Joan C. Edwards Stadium, Huntington Museum of Art, Ritter Park and downtown Pullman Square; 15 minutes northwest to HTS Airport; 15 minutes west to Camden Park amusement park; 15 minutes south to Beech Fork State Park; 30 minutes east to Hurricane (Hampton Inn much better mid-scale alternative); 30 minutes west across the Ohio River to Ashland KY; 60 minutes east to Charleston. Best for last-resort budget Marshall University football overflow booking, budget travelers specifically wanting a confirmed in-room jacuzzi option, or November 14 We Are Marshall anniversary alumni booking with realistic expectations. Consider Hurricane’s Hampton Inn (4.1/426, 30 min east on I-64) as a much better mid-scale alternative for Marshall football weekends.

"We had a great experience! Showed up very late at night and the night shift staff was very friendly and accommodating. He explained every thing clearly, and made me feel welcome! As a woman traveling alone, it was very helpful for him to explain certain things and it made me feel very safe. My little dog was welcomed without question and the room was very clean. When my key card suddenly stopped working, the woman working the morning took time away from her duties to help me out and even assured me that the deposit was coming back. Truly a great experience, and if you don’t understand why motels charge a deposit, clearly you’ve never worked in a customer service role."
