Henrico's attractions center on the Short Pump retail corridor, Innsbrook business park, and the county parks. Short Pump Town Center is the region's upscale open-air mall with 140 stores across Nordstrom, Macy's, Apple, restaurants and a movie theater — walking distance from the hotel. Innsbrook Corporate Center, 10 minutes north, is Richmond's major western business district and hosts the Innsbrook After Hours summer concert series on Fridays. Deep Run Park and Recreation Center offers 100+ acres of trails, ballfields and a pond. Bryan Park is a 262-acre park north of Richmond with the annual Azalea Garden peak bloom in April. Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park is a living-history 1860s farm north of Innsbrook. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, 15 minutes east, is one of the top botanical gardens in the country with themed gardens across 82 acres. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, 20 minutes southeast in downtown Richmond, is one of the largest art museums in the US and free to enter. Virginia Center Commons shopping (10 min east) adds another retail cluster. Kings Dominion is 30 minutes north for family theme-park weekends. Mild spring, hot humid summer, comfortable colorful fall and cool winter shape the year.

Henrico sits west of downtown Richmond along I-64 and I-295 in Henrico County. Richmond International Airport (RIC) is about 25 minutes east on I-64 — the closest full-service airport, with connections to Charlotte, Atlanta, DC, New York and Chicago. A car is essential for most trips — the county spreads across suburban corridors, and GRTC Pulse bus service and local routes cover parts of the county but not most Innsbrook and Short Pump destinations. Short Pump Town Center sits at the West Broad Street / I-295 interchange with easy access to Innsbrook (10 min north) and downtown Richmond (20 min east). Highway access: I-64 runs east-west through the county for downtown Richmond and the airport; I-295 loops north for Ashland, Fredericksburg and I-95; US-250 (West Broad Street) is the main east-west arterial through Short Pump; VA-288 is the western beltway heading south toward Midlothian. GRTC Pulse and local bus routes serve parts of the county but a car is essential for most trips.
