About The Hotel

A 4.1-rated Best Western Plus on the corridor between downtown and Wrightsville Beach, this hotel balances convenience and value. The outdoor pool and free breakfast appeal to families, while the board games, puzzles and family entertainment make it a self-sufficient base. Guests praise the immaculate lobby and breakfast area, exceptional cleanliness, and the quality of the free breakfast—one reviewer called it the best free breakfast they’d found at any hotel. The pet-friendly policy and affordability make it popular with road-trippers. This is a pool hotel, not an in-room-jacuzzi property; the soak is by the pool. The property feels upscale for the price, with strong housekeeping and staff friendliness.

What Guests Are Saying

“I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the room and friendliness of all the staff. My room was really clean and very aesthetically pleasing. The lobby to include waiting room and food serving area was immaculate, just beautiful. Undoubtedly one of the best food bars I have come across in a hotel. I had the honor of meeting Rosa who has been working there for ten years on the food side. I actually helped her replenish the coffee in the coffee machine and we chatted. She was super friendly and had a great smile! World class service and accommodation! (see images) Room 127/Aug 28, 2025. RK” — Who?, 5 stars

“Excellent visit! VERY clean and updated rooms, lobby, etc. Each staff member I encountered was VERY friendly! You can’t beat the breakfast; from hot eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles to grab-and-go items. Best free breakfast I’ve found. I was so impressed with my stay at another Best Western PLUS in Portland, Maine last summer, that I joined the rewards program and will always seek out a Best Western PLUS.” — LBS, 5 stars

“The room was spacious with a view. The lobby and common area were very clean and beautifully decorated. The grounds were beautifully manicured. And the views were magnificent.” — Carmella T., 5 stars

"Our experience at this hotel was stellar. The staff all were friendly and had amazing customer service. We were traveling with our dog so we got a pet friendly room and it was beautifully clean and perfect location to a door outside. They even have a designated place for the pups outside and provide bags and a garbage can in the grass area. Breakfast was also good! The woman working the breakfast area was on top of everything, making sure that everything was fresh, clean, and everyone had what they needed. There are about a million restaurants and places in the surrounding areas. It was hard to decided where to get lunch/dinner lol. I enjoyed the area the hotel was in and felt safe in it. We stayed for two nights and it rained all day both days so we could not go in the pool even if it were open (had a sign on it saying pool closed, not sure if that was due to the weather as it's outside) the ice machine on the first floor did not work but that was not a big deal for us. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows too! This was the best hotel experience we've had in a while! I would love to stay again."

"This best western was comfortable and quiet, considering it was college weekend /back to school for many students and parents in the area - it was busy. We had our border collie with us and the staff was helpful and kind. We enjoyed 2 mornings of great breakfasts. Better than expected. Although this area in general is pricey, we were happy that the trip to Wrightsville Beach wasn't over 30 minutes. There is a lot of traffic in the summer, so best to be out the door no later than 9am"

"Synopsis - Great location, outstanding staff members, and good value make this a solid choice if you are looking for a place to stay in Wilmington. Breakfast was a bit good and a bit bad. Some of the food was cooked to perfection like the eggs and the sausage. There was a plethora of selections to eat though. Room was quite spacious and everything was in working condition. In our opinion, the staff were the biggest reason for this hotel being rated high. The members working while we were there truly made the stay. Some of the items at breakfast were not cooked well like the hashbrowns and the eggs, but there were plenty of other choices for food which was nice. There were also a number of amenities in the room itself that could use some updating like the television and the bathroom, but we didn't end up spending much time in the hotel itself. Overall this was a good budget-friendly stay. Would definitely consider it again next time we are in Wilmington. 4.5 of the Best Stars out of 5!"
