What Guests Are Saying

“Stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown Raleigh First, my wife Ann and I enjoyed the hospitality and professional care taken by several of your staff. We arrived on Thursday June 11th about 4:30 PM and Departed June 14th about 10:30 AM. On arrival Brandon and Susan took care of our bags as we waited to check in with brother Tim Hathaway, a Marriott employee at the Inner Harbor Marriott, Baltimore MD. Both Brandon and Susan were helpful with our accommodations and made us comfortable as we waited for the arrival of my brother to check us in. Brandon assisted on several occasions and provided keys when they did not work in our room. Susan also assisted us with our accommodations and room. We stayed in the Room 412. On arrival, I met Gabby on your staff who managed the coffee shop downstairs. She was friendly and answered several questions regarding the food and beverage offerings. After checkin, we freshened up and ensured that the Family Dinner at the Roof Top restaurant was made. Brandon advised that I proceed upstairs to the restaurant to confirm the Family of 10-12 was made and also updated the reservation time. I met Ava on your staff at the Roof Top restaurant and she assured me that reservation was made and updated the time of arrival. Along with Ava, Jennae and Jenny assisted with serving of drinks and appetizers and dinner. They did an exceptional job taking of our party throughout the evening. Also, during our stay breakfast was exceptional, and servers Lionel, Paul, and Liz provided their attention to detail with food and beverages and cleared our places as we finished our breakfast. Tammy on your staff checked us in for breakfast and greeted us each morning. She also assisted my wife Ann by provided some Tylenol and comforted her regarding her knee which limited her mobility. We had dinner at the downstairs restaurant on June 12th, where we were served by Jessie and Ava. Both did an excellent job with service and the food (Salmon, Sweet Pea Risotto, and Steak Rare) was perfectly cooked to please myself, my spouse Ann, and my brother Tim and his partner Holly. Finally, we checked out with Lorie and Robert, both were exceptional. Lorie assisted me with finding the Sheraton down the street where two of my family were staying. Robert also was exceptional and pleasant and provided information and assistance with room issues such as the noisy ice maker in our room during our stay.” — Mike H., 5 stars

“Waking up to discover the basement level of your home is underwater is not a good way to start your day! To make a long story short, we were going to have to get out of our house for at least a few days, so I searched for a nearby hotel that would take dogs. There were several and I feel fortunate that I landed on Residence Inn. Our “few days” have now been a week and I have a feeling it’ll be at least another week before we get home, but what could have turned into a week of sheer misery has been most pleasant because of the staff and facilities. Starting with the room: we asked for a suite and were given one far from the elevators. I have some trouble walking so after we saw the room we asked if we could get one closer to the elevator and were immediately moved to a roomy suite in a perfect location (and right across the hall from the laundry!) The small kitchen is adequate and the bathroom roomy (we later realized this was a handicapped suite, so it has an airy feel to it). Parking is free and easy and we’ve gotten a spot close to the entrance every time. The front desk staff is friendly and accommodating. They are quick to deal with issues. For example this morning the lock on our door died. They had a technician show up in less than ten minutes to fix it. The woman who seems to run the breakfast area is warm and attentive. Speaking of breakfast…I don’t remember any better in a hotel. Every morning there are scrambled eggs (cage free this morning), potatoes, a couple of meat choices (sausage of some variety/bacon), a variety of other goodies like mini quiches, pancakes, etc. bagels, english muffins, bread, oatmeal and toppings, fruit, and your basic kids’ cereals. And seriously good coffee. For those of you with dogs: Although the carpet in our room is spotless and there is zero doggy odor, it was clear by the way our dog sniffed every inch of it that he was not the first to stay there. Made us laugh. Outside the hotel, there are several areas where dogs can relieve themselves and your Fido will lead you straight there. Sorry for the long review. I think I’m a little wound up after this crazy week, but I hope I’ve helped you make a good hotel decision.” — Diane C., 5 stars

“Sincere appreciation to the entire staff for all-around wonderful service during sad time for our family. Shout out to Deja and James at the front desk, especially, for answering pesky questions and always smiling. Grounds and hotel impeccable. While pool area closed for season and too cold to full experience the patios, beautifully arranged. Good parking, well lit, nice walking trail nearby, felt safe in area with nightly patrolling. Room was wonderful escape; comfortable beds, little to no noise room to room nor hallway, nicely furnished, clean and well maintained. Good food. Breakfast area nicely arranged with friendly efficient staff and typical but abundant Residence Inn fare. We ordered from the bar one night; tasty and reasonably priced…allowed us to stay in for the night. Kudos to entire team!” — baxter703, 5 stars

"I recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Raleigh Crabtree, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. I want to give special recognition to James Rivero at the Front Desk, whose warm attitude, professionalism, and genuine hospitality truly stood out. His service embodies the core values of Marriott International, making guests feel welcome, cared for, and appreciated from the moment they arrive. The hotel itself is very convenient and recently renovated, with modern, comfortable spaces throughout the property. The location is excellent: walking distance to Crabtree Valley Mall, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants, shops, and services, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was also very good, with a nice selection to start the day off right. Overall, an excellent stay. I highly recommend this property, and I sincerely thank James and the Residence Inn Raleigh Crabtree team for such a great experience. I will definitely be returning."

"This hotel is the definition of southern hospitality. Great location, Great customer service, and a different hot continental breakfast every day. If I could change one thing I would say get rid of the shower/tub and upgrade to straight glass showers like some of the other hotels. Awesome location next to mall area. Even with the traffic, this area is relatively quiet. Thanks Residence Inn for a great stay!"

"Very close to Crabtree Mall. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and seemed recently updated. Had a large shower and a TV that swiveled from living room to the bed. This was our second stay here and we were pleased both times."
