Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Nags Head
"A 3.8-rated oceanfront Ramada Plaza with a pool, bar and lounge, direct beach access and Atlantic views."
About The Hotel
The Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Nags Head is a classic, full-service oceanfront hotel with 3,500 reviews and a 3.8-star rating. Located on the Atlantic shore at Nags Head near Kill Devil Hills, it offers direct beach access, oceanfront rooms with views, a pool, a bar and lounge and free parking and WiFi. The property is older but well-maintained for its age and offers a prime location for history visitors and beach travelers. Guests consistently praise the beach access, location and ocean views, though some note the hotel’s dated decor and varying room quality. It’s an oceanfront pool hotel rather than an in-room-jacuzzi property — the soak is the ocean and the pool.
What Guests Are Saying
“My wife and I travel from Williamsburg to the Ramada Plaza several times a year. A couple of weeks ago my whole family went there to surprise my wife on her 70th birthday. I cannot say enough about the staff. However, one young lady in particular is the reason we keep returning. Her name is “Allie”. Allie always greets us with a smile and a hug. Rooms we request are always in great condition. As I sit writing this I am smiling just thinking how sweet she has treated us over the years. Please know you have a prize employee in Allie. She reflects so well on the Ramada, management and her contemporaries. Thank you so much and see you hopefully soon. Dave and Maureen Sloggie” — David S., 5 stars
“Beautiful view, in a relaxing room, in a perfect location! My wife and I absolutely loved this place! We had an oceanview room on the top floor with a jetted tub. Balcony was great for enjoying the view while taking a break. AC worked great. Bed was comfy. Jetted tub was very relaxing. We enjoyed being able to walk to many tasty restaurants close by. Walking the beach at night to see all of the ghost crabs was very cool! The location is awesome. So many things to do in the area. A very short drive to Manteo to visit the Aquarium, Elizabethian Gardens, and the Lost Colony outdoor show as well.” — Gary S., 5 stars
“I absolutely love staying here! I have stayed over 10 times and every time its great! The staff is so nice! I always have a fresh clean room and if there is a problem it is handled in a timely manner. I love the location right in the center not far from places to eat. The pool and bar are great. The outdoor seating is good too!” — Jermicka E., 5 stars

What guests are saying about Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Nags Head.
"It was fast and easy to check in. Housekeeping checked every day to see if we needed anything, so that was appreciated. The pool was nicely heated. The food I ordered from take out at the hotel was very tasty. We did miss having Beachcombers open so we could have had a few drinks while not leaving the hotel, but it is the off-season so it is understandable, and we were glad to be able to at least order food. The whole hotel smells and looks very clean. Overall another great experience at this Ramada!"

View on Google"I would say this is a pretty nice hotel. Especially for the price we paid was less than 300$ for 2 nights. We did have a pet friendly room. The only thing I will say is I think they could have done better cleaning the room in the beginning because I understand it’s pet friendly(no big deal) but there was already a decent amount of dog hair on the floor and sandy when we first came in. It is an older hotel but like I said for the price I’m not complaining. I never seen any bugs or anything so I consider that a win compared to a few past experiences with other hotels. Great beach access and nice pool and hot tub."
