What Guests Are Saying
“My family and I travel to Bryson City in the spring usually we needed a break so we tried several places as we usually stay closer to town we found a cabin here The Bear Den when I called the person on the other end was nice and very helpful. If you stay in The Bear Den make sure to remember the cut off your traction control as it is on a pretty good incline ( steep grade) but doable. We found the cabin clean and very quiet we enjoyed our stay plenty of room for family of 4 we enjoyed the hot tub. The fire pit could have been a little closer grass needed cutting but over all nice . If you going rafting this is the place to stay.” — Steven N., 5 stars
“I rented cabin #3 for 4 nights, planning to avoid all the tourist by my house and to attend a pickle festival at Darnell Farms. The hot tub amenity, accessibility (not too far up a steep mountain) and pricing were my deciding factors. The cabin was super clean! I loved all the windows. In the cabin the water heater and pressure was perfect. They had direct tv and strong wifi access, and I had no problems with my cell reception. Good distance between neighbors and they were all friendly and cordial when I saw them. This will probably become my retreat at least once a year. Very glad I found this place!” — crystalpcw, 5 stars
“Very well organized, safe, quiet and close to ammenities Cabin was clean and well stocked with items such as paper products, towels, kitchenware. Checkin was a breeze. All online. Short flat walk to #3 Cabin. Hottub was immaculate. Surrounded by tall trees on a hillside. Views are ok. Adventures can be booked thru Cabin representative. We booked whitewater rafting.” — Iris P., 5 stars

View on Google"Cabin was perfect! Very clean, spacious and tons of windows for a peaceful view. Hot tub was super relaxing. Just what I was looking for. Was very happy with the kitchen and full fridge/freezer. Did a lot of baking and cooking. Shower was hot and water pressure was amazing. I came because of a festival at Darnell Farms and the cabin turned out to be the highlight of my vacation! Wish I would have taken more pics for the review☹️. I will Next time🍁"

View on Google"Our stay in Cabin #4 was great. Simple place but had the basics of what we needed. Very quiet and private. Hot tub was awesome and great after hiking, biking and rafting. Good location near Bryson City and NOC, and hosts/owners were very responsive. And they provided a lot of towels and paper products which I always appreciate! Only down side was the main bed was super soft although I recognize that is subjective (and well, a futon - the other bed- is never that comfy) but would still Definitely recommend."
