What Guests Are Saying

“Staying at the East Hampton Art House was an unforgettable experience — charming, unique, and unlike anywhere else in the area. Nestled in a serene and beautifully maintained part of East Hampton, the property strikes the perfect balance between convenience, comfort, and artistic soul. The owners, both accomplished artists, have created a space that feels more like a private retreat than a traditional B&B. Their studios alone are worth the visit — inspiring, filled with light, and a testament to their passion and creativity. And the garden - well, one could write a whole paragraph on just how beautiful that was. The atmosphere is welcoming yet sophisticated, with well appointed rooms and common areas that feel curated with care. Every detail, from the art to the linens, feels thoughtful. The guests we met were just as lovely — it attracts a gracious, kind crowd. Perks abound: bikes are available to borrow, beach chairs are ready for seaside adventures, and the location couldn’t be better — minutes from both town and beach It’s rare to find a place that feels both luxurious and personal, but the Art House nails it. An extremely well-run and delightfully memorable place for a Hamptons getaway.” — Adam W., 5 stars

“Belltown Bakery, 81 Main Street, East Hampton, Connecticut, United States. Totally awesome baked goods, bread, muffins. Taste this bread!!!!!!! Do stop in! There are tables right in front, right at the front door, so you can sit for a moment if you have the time, and enjoy something your purchased. If you are a bicyclist, you can start about an hour (by bike) east, where routes 2 and 149 intersect (a good place to leave a car) and cycle westbound to East Hampton, and there is this amazing little bakery. It is a beautiful cycling trail, and you come out at the bakery after heading to the town of East Hampton. Vegan options sometimes present. The phone number on the business card is 860 510 1081. The owner is a 5th or 6th generation baker, and you can taste all that wisdom passed down. Fridays and Saturdays 7:30 am - 5 PM. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday appointment only. Sunday closed, according to the business card. Wednesday hours 3 pm - 7 pm. The reviewer is not an owner and is not family of the owner and is not friends with the owner (reviewed out of enthusiasm).” — Thomas M., 5 stars

“After reading all the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor, we chose The Art House for our East Hampton visit (traveling all the way from So Cal to visit our daughter). It absolutely lived up to the hype, and then some! The house and gardens are spectacular - filled with art and beauty from around the world (and from their own studios!). Roz and Michael are accomplished artists in addition to being warm and generous hosts. They take the happiness of their guests seriously. Coming home each night after a day of exploring the area was like coming back to a warm hug. The staff was also lovely, making us delicious breakfasts to order each morning. We stayed in the Master guest room upstairs and enjoyed wine on the balcony and the fireplace on a rainy night. The bed, bedding, and shower were perfect! I highly recommend you stay there and we definitely hope to return.” — Nicola V., 5 stars

"Looking forward to our next stay! I can’t say enough good things about this bed and breakfast! The hosts made us feel so welcomed, we spent the day at the pool which felt like being in your own beautiful backyard. The landscaping and grounds were stunning. The house was absolutely gorgeous. Although we had to leave without eating breakfast the reviews regarding the breakfast are great and I’m sure it’s fabulous. The hosts are the type of people you meet sitting at a bar and end up becoming friends with. The room is comfortable and clean. My only complaint is I wish I could’ve stayed longer!"

"Our Artful experience at The Art House Villa B&B in East Hampton was quite wonderful. My wife and I enjoyed our night stay in the Master Suite and Spa Room. The Steam Room, the Sauna, the Rain Shower and Shiatsu Jacuzzi were just a few of the luxurious highlights. Our Room had a veranda with exceptional views of exquisite gardens, trails and sculptures. The owners/hosts Michael and Rosalind are just amazing and warm. We felt quite at home with their kindness and enthusiasm. They are also both exceptionally talented artists and sculptors. They each have their own personal studios within the villa with amazing pieces of their personal talents. The exquisite gardens, trails, and sculptures along with the extraordinary grounds adorned with a variety of greenery and colors, paint a vivid picture of a serene and beautiful environment all around you. There also are several imported artifacts all around as you walk the grounds. The fresh breakfast prepared by the staff and the access to Clearwater Beach were delightful additions to our experience. I would highly recommend a stay at The Art House."

"Great experience for my wife and I! We only had 1 night, and the owners were fun to get to know, and chat with. This is not your typical B&B - the owners are literal working artists and they each specialize in very different types of art and each has their own studio in a wing of the expansive home. They both took out time for us, showing off their work - which was quite impressive. Each of them are so different creatively, and it made for a truly fun time. Their gardens are also so beautiful - and they've done a truly wonderful job in creating a relaxing and very beautiful space. They also loaned us beach passes, and going to the beautiful/pristine, private beaches was so fun. The breakfast was terrific, and even though we had checked out, they invited us to enjoy their bikes, and the house for a number of hours after. We didn't use the pool, but we did enjoy the hammocks. Very kind folks - running a beautiful business. Thank you both for a terrific time."
