What Guests Are Saying
“I stayed at this quaint bed and breakfast while on a quick overnight trip for a conference. I booked the night before and sent a text to the number on the website. The owner responded immediately and was so nice. I stayed in the artist loft on the top floor. It was a gorgeous room full of light. I don’t a dreamy evening there reading and listening to the rain. I was able to walk to my favorite restaurant and wine store. The inn has snacks and is just so clean and well kept. The owners are so friendly. There is breakfast every morning, always tea and coffee and snacks like apple cinnamon muffins (homemade!) available. There are quite a few stairs to get to the top floor. If you have mobility issues definitely reach out to the owners and they will recommend the best room. Also, there is protected parking. Love this place! When I return I will stay. Thank you for having me!” — 617princess, 5 stars
“We loved the Morgan State House. It was our first visit to Albany and the staff and owner made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived till our departure. We loved being in a historic building that has been so lovingly maintained. Our room was very spacious which made us feel like royalty. Janine and Leo helped us get settled in and to decide where to dine. The location is close to the capital and other landmarks as well as the very charming Lark Street with all its wonderful restaurants and shops. We also loved that it was across the street from Washington Park which we took a nice walk before heading to the airport.” — Jeanmarie M., 5 stars
“The Morgan State House is my favorite place to stay in Albany. It’s beautiful and comfortable, well located within walking distance of restaurants and the state capitol, and serves a lovely breakfast. I want to give them a particular shout-out as I forgot my cell phone in my room last week, and did not realize it until I was on the train. They carefully packaged it and mailed it by overnight service. I was impressed by their responsiveness and deeply grateful for the rapid resolution of my careless oversight.” — denisenyc81, 5 stars

Would be great for a long term stay. Lots of details like power strips everywhere, robes, and other amenities. They accommodated a few special needs and Were friendly and attentive. A great place to land as a weary traveller."
