Location: 5 minutes east to Christiana Mall and ChristianaCare Christiana Hospital, 10 minutes to University of Delaware campus, 20 minutes north to Wilmington Riverfront. Recent guest voice is split with heavy candid flags: a 5-star ‘Overnight on a road trip’ wrote ‘Picked this hotel out of the blue on a road trip. Arrived about 1 am, check-in was smooth and the desk clerk was a super nice guy. Room was very clean, smelled fresh. Bed was comfortable’; balanced against a 2-star ‘Not horrible but trying to do the least possible’ who wrote ‘The hotel seemed to be trying to get away with the least possible for a Staybridge. The room seemed a bit worn. The breakfast had a poor selection of not great quality. The staff seemed indifferent’; a 1-star ‘Worst Hotel aka Roach Motel Experience EVER’ wrote ‘Pool is shared with the even more run down Ramada which seems to be attached to this hotel. The Ramada guests have full reign of Staybridge with no staff oversight. There is zero housekeeping. Our room was dirty upon check-in’; a 1-star ‘Horrible 0 stars’ wrote ‘Don’t waste your money on this run down hell hole, place is disgusting and not well maintained. Smells horrible.’ No in-room jacuzzi. Best only for extended-stay contract workers who accept the recurring 2023-2024 roach and cleanliness flags.

What Guests Are Saying

“Large room with good amenities. Breakfast was good and the items were well marked. We were disappointed that our plans conflicted with the happy hour get together. Lots of convenient parking.” — therese l, 5 stars

“Breakfast area has a lot of fly gnats around the juice/soda machine. I had to throw my yogurt out because one flew in while eating. Also, they basically have the same menu every morning.” — Scorpio Q, 4 stars

"Very nice safe area. The front desk staff, wish I got her name, greeted us with a smile and was such a pleasure to deal with, when checking in to our room! The rooms were clean, very affordable for what you get and the free breakfast was really nice too They have beer on tap, it wasnt working, but that surely would have been a fun perk to add to a breakfast since we were in the area to celebrate our 1 year anniversary 🩷🩷"

"They didn't have the room we had requested when we arrived, so I had to split up with who who I was travelling with for a night in separate rooms until it was ready. Just a slight inconvenience, but the staff was friendly enough. Unfortunately the room I stayed in for the night had a microwave that didn't work when I wanted some popcorn, hence the 4 stars, but they were clean and comfortable. Overall, not a bad experience."
