“DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I booked this hotel at Cedar Park Inn and whirlpool suites more than a month ago to celebrate my wife’s birthday and Valentine’s Day weekend. I also purchased tickets to see a concert at Foxwoods for that Saturday. There were two specific reasons why I booked this hotel. 1. they offered a limo service to Foxwoods (which we weren’t able to use either night - keep reading.) 2. They had a hot tub in the room. (To dirty to even use -keep reading.) As soon as we got into the room we were hit with the heavy stench of mildew, and couldn’t get over how dirty and dingy the room looked. The furniture was outdated, broken and heavily stained. (Pictures are attached) The shower had hair in it and dirty water spots all over it, it was not cleaned before we got there. We did tell the front desk and someone came in to clean it. The plunger in the bathroom was full of toilet paper and left. There was also water damage from an apparent overflow of toilet. The fridge was rusted and scratched, the ceiling roof tiles on the first floor had water stained tiles. The king size mattress was very hard, pillows flat and incredibly small. We did ask for extra pillows and were told they didn’t have any extra. the bathroom door had a hole in it, and the door to the whirlpool was filthy and stained. the whirlpool was dirty with no drain stopper, we told the front desk who sent someone out to the dollar store and buy a flat drain cover. We ended up not using the whirlpool because it didn’t have hot water, and again it was dirty, god knows the last time it was used. The first night we were told that the limo service opened up at 4:30PM. when we called at 5 o’clock the woman said the guy who drove the limo wasn’t in yet. At about 6:15 we were sick of waiting and we decided to drive ourselves to the casino. Then the next night we asked to use the limo services, and this time we were told they decided to close it for the night due weather, but they only had an inch of snow / rain mix all night. Remember This was valentines weekend. We would have left immediately if it wasn’t the fact that all the other hotels were booked solid. We were 3 hours away from home, with a concert to attend… we had no choice but to stay in this run down outdated hotel room. The surprised weekend I planned for my wife was RUINED. We spent $260 a night. I can’t imagine why they would charge that much when the room is outdated, smelly, dirty, and the owners don’t follow through on their amenities. We did call to complain within 30 mins of leaving. We were told management would call us the next day (Monday), but they never called us back. The next day I called again, and voiced my complaint. I also sent them the pictures we took to review.. They only offered us a free night for another time. That does us no good, because we will NEVER go back.
