About The Hotel

Quality Inn & Suites Meriden occupies North Broad Street (Route 5) on the north side near I-691, offering the area’s only advertised in-room jacuzzi suites at the lowest nightly rates ($76–$81). The 3.2-star property across 103 reviews scores highest on sleep quality (3.8) but lags in cleanliness (3.5) and room condition (3.0). A 2022 repeat monthly guest reported clean rooms and pleasant service, but 2024–2025 reviews flag peeling wallpaper, dirty grout, smoke odors, and rude staff. The advertised free breakfast was not served in multiple 2024–2025 stays. A 2022 guest had a booked jacuzzi-suite reservation refused at check-in despite online confirmation. Confirm exact room type and rate in writing before arrival.

What Guests Are Saying

“When I walked in the lobby smelled great and was very clean. The young lady that signed me in was very pleasant, and the room and bathroom were very clean. I book a room here once a month and do not plan on going anywhere else.” — HappySpear, 4 stars

“Booked a king suite with jacuzzi online for $158 a night and arrived to find I was not in the system. The front desk manager refused to honor the rate, said they ‘do not book jacuzzi rooms online,’ and would only release it for $200 more. After 90 minutes on hold with Choice corporate we drove 90 minutes back home.” — Jim Dee, 1 star

“We had two suites. One suite had a musty odor and the bathroom door in the second suite would not shut by about three inches. Free breakfast was advertised but there was none — we sat in the breakfast area as several other guests came in looking for it. The final charge was about thirty dollars per suite over the rate we agreed to.” — Helen K, 1 star

"Spent a few nights here and all was mostly fine. This is a no frills place, but fine for a short stay. Front desk staff always took a sec but did respond to the bell they have there, eventually. The room had a bit of a smell, but most hotel rooms in this price range do. Good water pressure, but it didn't get hot enough for my preference. Room was clean, well appointed with coffee, fridge, microwave. TV was a bit small, but did the job. They do NOT do breakfast here. Either post Covid, or just to save cost. I didn't see any other amenities they may have, so can't comment. Overall, at this price point, I would stay here again."
