What Guests Are Saying
“We just got back from a weekend at The Litchfield Inn and honestly, it was one of the best stays we’ve had in a long time. The second you drive up that long driveway and see the big white colonial building sitting on those beautiful grounds, you just relax. It feels like classic New England but in the best possible way. Our room was gorgeous, super spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed was so comfortable we slept like rocks. We loved the fireplace. We actually used it both nights and just sat there with a glass of wine. The bathroom is nicely updated too. Everything felt high-quality without being stuffy. The staff was genuinely friendly. Not the fake-polite kind. They actually seemed happy to help and gave us some great local recommendations. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, fresh, hot, and way better than your average hotel spread. The whole place has such a peaceful, relaxing vibe. We wandered the property, sat on the patio, and just enjoyed being away from everything. It’s perfectly located if you want to explore Litchfield, go hiking, or check out nearby towns. We’re already talking about going back this fall. If you’re looking for a charming, comfortable inn with real personality, book this place. You won’t be disappointed!” — Darren P., 5 stars
“The Litchfield Inn is truly a standout destination that perfectly blends charm, comfort, and thoughtful hospitality. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a relaxing stay. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with scenic surroundings that make it feel like a peaceful retreat. The rooms are exceptionally well-designed—each one feels unique, with stylish décor that balances classic New England character and modern comfort. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail (from lighting to furnishings to cleanliness) really shows the level of care put into the guest experience. What really makes The Litchfield Inn special is the staff. Everyone is genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to help without ever being intrusive. Whether it’s recommendations for local spots or accommodating special requests, they go above and beyond to ensure your stay is seamless. It’s the perfect place for a romantic getaway, a quiet weekend escape, or even a small event. Every aspect of the experience feels intentional and elevated. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the Litchfield area—I’ll definitely be returning.” — Simon B., 5 stars
“I had come here for a wedding recently and it was a nice venue. Field a bit dated, but they seemed to have been going on some renovations to update things around the hotel. The location was very nice, but since I was here for a wedding, I can’t say if it is well located for other things. The quality of the sleep was good, and you can tell they tend to get a bit high level hotel guests so you don’t have too many people running around wild or anything like that. The staff was very polite and helpful at all times.” — Nate080411, 3 stars

What guests are saying about The Litchfield Inn.
"Absolutely lovely hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and quaint place. Every need was anticipated and met. The amenities like water, soaps, etc were from very high quality brands and refilled daily. They had free snacks and drinks all day and night. The breakfast was always phenomenal. The staff was super friendly and courteous. They even left us a bottle of wine and a handwritten note for our anniversary. There is even an electric vehicle wall charger in case anyone needs one."

Being from Florida, it was freezing out but walking in to The Inn you immediately feel its warmth and homey-ness wrap you up like a cozy blanket. The ambiance and decor is so well done and ticked all of our boxes of what we were looking for when it came to a Christmasy girls getaway. The lit fire places, the moody lighting, the Christmas decor, the complimentary snacks and warm beverages, it’s all just so methodically thought out. You can tell they knew the vibe their guests are looking for when they stay here. I hope to be back in the future with my whole family."

My room was very clean and beautifully decorated. It was also spacious. I loved that there was snack bar that offered a variety of snacks to eat including drinks such as different sodas and water. The breakfast bar was delicious.. plenty of options to choose from. The staff is amazing and very welcoming. I love that I was able to bring my dog with me. I appreciate that so much. There is a lot of outdoor/sight seeing activities to do within 25 minutes worth of driving .. nice restaurants as well. There is also plenty of shopping to do. I will definitely recommend and I will definitely be coming back."
