What Guests Are Saying
“I’ve now stayed at The Goodwin three times, and each visit has been exceptional. It has become my automatic first choice whenever I’m in the area. The location is incredibly convenient—an easy walk from the train station or a quick ride share—making travel seamless and stress‑free. From the moment I’m dropped at the front door, I’m greeted warmly, and that level of hospitality continues throughout my stay. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with a timeless charm and an attention to detail that truly stands out. Cleanliness is consistently excellent; every space feels fresh, cared for, and thoughtfully prepared. The rooms themselves are a highlight. Each one feels unique, with gorgeous tile floors and a shower that honestly feels like a dream—spacious, modern, and designed for pure comfort. Despite being in a central location, the rooms are remarkably quiet, offering a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. What keeps me returning, though, is the staff. They consistently go above and beyond. On my most recent visit, Bren and Peta took the time to stop and speak with me, and every interaction I’ve had with the team has felt genuine and attentive. They’re always on top of things, and it shows. For the level of service, comfort, and overall experience, The Goodwin offers exceptional value. Each stay feels elevated and memorable, and I always leave looking forward to the next visit. I can’t recommend it highly enough.” — Darcie G., 5 stars
“We had an excellent stay here — wonderful staff, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds! Highly recommend” — Amanda L., 5 stars
“We stayed here for 2 nights in October and had a lovely King Suite on the 5th floor. It was a very spacious room with windows overlooking the street. It was quiet and clean and full of all the usual amenities. It’s an old building that connects to another building so there are very long hallways with a few steps up or down. There’s also 3 elevators. The continental breakfast was basic (coffee was nice & strong!) but the room that it is served in was very nice. The hotel is close to the Capital, sports arena, and many good restaurants. It’s a big, beautiful building with a very small lobby. Park on the street for free on the weekends but beware of parking garages that may not open until later the next day. It might be best to valet. We would stay here again and would recommend it to family & friends.” — Islandtime11, 5 stars

View on Google"Stayed here a couple of nights for a conference. Fairly upscale with decent size room and better than expected amenities. Had them valet park my vehicle and they were able to find a place to plug it in as well - nice tough and much appreciated. Didn't find all that much within a quick walk of the hotel for a dinner or drinks. Probably a real good location for attending an event at the nearby civic center."
