A 4.4 location sub-rating reflects strong walkability, though validated paid parking and restaurant food quality have drawn recent complaints.

What Guests Are Saying

“The room was attractive and clean. I thought the bed would be too firm but I found it very comfortable. Nice shower with grab bars. If there was anything negative, I would say that the air conditioning was noisy and disruptive the first night. I kind of got used to it after that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good, convenient parking and incredible easy access to I 84. Kudos to all” — Donna T., 5 stars

“Great location, clean, modern, safe. Not super luxurious but hotels are very hit or miss in Hartford. This one is better than most of the others downtown under $400/night.” — Heather H., 4 stars

“I stayed at this DoubleTree location at the end of March in order to attend a work-related conference in Hartford, and had a lovely stay. The folks at the front desk were so helpful (shoutout Sandra!) and my service at the bar was also good each night. After my stay I had to call the hotel back to ask for a receipt, and then had some questions about the charges to my account. Juan, the employee who assisted me over the phone and helped explain my bill was so patient, so kind, so warm, and so helpful. He answered all of my questions, gave me clarity, and was so polite. 10/10 experience with every employee at this hotel, leading up to my stay, during my stay, and after!” — Missbazorn, 5 stars

"We are so glad we booked and stayed here for a concert recently. The location is absolutely perfect actually attached to the Civic Center. The lobby was beautiful. Everything was clean. Every staff member we met and dealt with was professional and nice and happy everybody was smiling. This place was great. I highly recommend it not to mention they give you fresh baked warm cookies.!!🍪"

"I want to take a moment to recognize Felecia Green, Director of Operations, for an act of genuine kindness that I will never forget. During my stay, I became very ill while alone in my hotel room and far from home. It was an incredibly vulnerable and isolating experience. Felecia personally called to check on me, which alone meant more than she likely realized. She then went a step further and brought a thoughtfully prepared basket of items to my room to help me get through being sick. That level of care, empathy, and personal attention is something I have never experienced from anyone working at a hotel before. In a moment when I felt scared, uncomfortable, and alone, she made me feel safe, supported, and truly taken care of. It didn’t feel like a professional obligation ; it felt human, compassionate, and sincere. Felecia exemplifies what exceptional hospitality truly means. Her kindness turned a very difficult experience into one I will always remember with gratitude. She is an incredible asset to your organization, and her actions reflect the highest standard of leadership and care."

"Clean and nice hotel. Parking is easy but is $25 a day. Breakfast staff could have been nicer for example I asked for a chocolate chip muffin they gave me blueberry, they tried to charge us $25 for a cup of coffee and a water. Butttt they had cookies for free at the front desk! Tbh just grab breakfast somewhere else and it’s fine. Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 5"
