What Guests Are Saying
“The Cliffside Inn is a beautiful, well-appointed inn. We were staying during a blizzard, and the staff went above and beyond expectations to keep us comfortable. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was wonderful. Thank you for the amazing stay!” — Laili M., 5 stars
“In a bit of a hectic time (holidays and a baby on the way in 3 weeks) the thought of a baby moon celebration might have slipped my mind. Luckily The Cliffside Inn was here to make it look like I had been planning it for the last 8 months! From Bethany welcoming us in with a smile and tour of the beautiful main house to the exceptional amenities the Atlantic Suite offered, the stay was exactly what we needed. The whirlpool tub with fireplace by it’s side was without a doubt our favorite feature, but the sunrise over First Beach visible from our window was a close second. As someone who has worked at two of Newport’s most renowned hotels, the Chanler and the Castle Hill Inn, I can attest that the Cliffside Inn is on the same level of hospitality experiences as both of those properties. Thank you again, we will back with another addition to our family soon!” — James M., 5 stars
“I am hesitant to share how great the property is in fear I will have a harder time booking our favorite room! JoJo and the staff are amazing in every way and hard to ask for more…” — Robb M., 5 stars

"Our stay at Beatrice’s Room was beautiful and thoughtfully done. The hosts truly considered every detail, from the toiletries to the delicious and diverse breakfast offerings. Arrival and departure were seamless, even after hours, which made everything easy and stress-free. The inn is in a gorgeous Newport location—quiet and tucked away from the town center, yet close to everything. The history of the previous owner added an intriguing layer to the experience and made the stay feel even more special. Highly recommended."

The decor is elegant and thoughtfully designed—rich textures, refined furnishings, and immaculate cleanliness throughout. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, namely Bethany - making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The inn’s location is outstanding: just a short stroll to the entrance of Newport’s famous Cliff Walk, and close enough to enjoy town yet tucked into a peaceful setting. Highly recommend the Governor’s Suite for a special Newport getaway."

View on Google"We had a very relaxing and comfortable two night stay. Staff was exceptional-Bethany was especially helpful with suggestions for restaurants.... 5-6pm wine and cheese spread was a nice incentive to prepare for an evening out. Jojo and her colleague greeted us with friendly smiles and breakfast. Close to all especially the Cliff walk. A small deduction for the room more because it can get a little noisy in the morning with guests and children. A small suggestion to lower the hallway lights that filter through the door at night. I placed a towel. Not a big deal. Thank you for a very pleasant stay."
