About The Hotel

Club Wyndham Bay Voyage Inn is a 3.7-rated all-suite, timeshare-style resort on Narragansett Bay in Jamestown, offering spacious rooms with kitchenettes (note: limited amenities—mainly wet bars and microwaves), sweeping bay views toward Newport, and a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. The resort features a seasonally operated pool, fitness center, kids’ activities, and free parking—all in a quiet, scenic island setting. While not a luxury property, it appeals to families and casual travelers seeking affordable space, bay views, and proximity to Newport without downtown crowding. Recent guests note that pool closures for maintenance can occur, so confirm pool operations when booking.

What Guests Are Saying

“Vintage building with free self-laundry, on site restaurant, but very small “kitchenettes”—actually a wet bar. Clean rooms, hallways not so much.” — Journey665172, 4 stars

“The pool was closed upon arrival and remained closed the entire stay. Every day when I would ask about the pool at the desk, I was told “Hopefully tomorrow”. I saw men collecting pool water on 2 occasions, which makes me believe that the closure was the fault of the Wyndham so that is even more upsetting. We never received an apology or explanation. For reference, there is an outdoor pool with a view of the ocean. When they closed the pool, they also closed the pool area so there wasn’t anywhere to even sit outside.” — loriquattrini, 4 stars

“We brought our whole family to Jamestown, a wonderful island where we have lived and loved. The Bay Voyages great location and promise of a pool, a nice grilling area and kitchen in the rooms helped to make our selection. As close as three days before our arrival, the concierge was reassuring my concerns about the very limited kitchen facilities (only a microwave and Mini fridge) by telling as about the nice grilling options and outside area to eat . Imagine our disappointment when we arrived to discover the pool had been closed for 10 days. And what is absolutely senseless, the grill is located in the pool area and they would not allow us to enter and grill under any circumstances (we offered to sign waiver stating we would not go in the pool but would only grill). We were given the option of driving over the Newport Bridge (a hefty toll) in order to use their associated property which really didn’t appeal or work for us as we have a number of little children with us and transportation isn’t easy or fun. They kept promising the pool would open the next day but we arrived on Sunday and are now being to do the best hope is an opening some time Friday. So no pool, grill or outside area whatsoever to enjoy the nice weather and view. We were given a measly $60 coupon for shops in Jamestown which supposedly work at every store but don’t and certainly don’t buy much for 8 people. So overall we are not happy although we are manage to make then list of things and have fun, no thanks to the Bay Voyage. We feel the management should have alerted all guests before arrival about the pool/grill situation and they should be making the grill and outside area available and they should have offered us at least one complimentary dinner at their restaurant since I had planned to grill every night since the kitchen if so limited and now we are having to go out and the cost of this vacation has increased significantly.” — Bambi, 2 stars

"Small room but given its history and makeover it looks great. Be aware that to get to Newport you must cross a toll bridge and pay both ways, so get a meter for a rental car or pay high fees. Great place for a peaceful beach trip."

"Very nice. We liked our room. The inn is clean and well maintained. Be warned it fid not have a full kitchen. Jamestown is quiet. However, if you want the activity of Newport it is better to stay in Newport. The bridge to Jamestown is $6.00 each way, and parking in Newport is a nightmare! So better to stay in Newport, park at your resort, and walk our use the free trolley system to get around!"
