Newport Bay Club & Hotel
"3.9-rated all-suite Thames Street resort with spacious rooms, pool, and game room for families."
About The Hotel
The Newport Bay Club & Hotel is a 3.9-rated all-suite resort in a converted historic mill on Thames Street, pitched at families and groups wanting room to spread out. The spacious suites come with kitchenettes and multiple rooms—genuinely useful for a family or small group who don’t want to feel cramped. A pool and game room add on-site activity, and you’re steps from the wharves and dining. The trade-offs are worth noting: it’s a timeshare-style property with sales touchpoints at check-in, central Thames Street location means street energy, and in-room jacuzzi availability depends on which unit you confirm. It’s built for function and convenience, not intimate charm.
What Guests Are Saying
“This was our first time staying at this hotel and we cannot wait to return! Everything was lovely and each of the employees were warm and welcoming. Everything was conveniently located and easy to walk to. We will return!” — Kevin O., 5 stars
“Highly recommended it was super fun alittle outdated but rlly nice” — Emma D., 5 stars
“I had researched the downtown area, opting for the Newport Bay Club & Hotel with its kitchenettes and available parking (for a fee). Another reason was its proximity to many sites and several restaurants within walking distance. I booked two nights in a townhouse suite on the 4th floor, and the last night we were in a bedroom suite on the 2nd floor. The cleaning/maintenance staff relocated our packed luggage to the second suite without hesitation. Both accommodations were clean and comfy this nice views of the harbor or America’s Cup Ave. Additional communal decks on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Every member of the staff we talked with were friendly and helpful. Would gladly stay again.” — rleNewEngland, 4 stars

What guests are saying about Newport Bay Club & Hotel.
"Absolutely loved this hotel. The location is great and the size of the rooms is fantastic for the price. My wife and I visited Newport with 2 other couples. They stayed at another local hotel for a price that is 80% more and they were jealous of our room. All of us ended up utilizing our hotel room for its size each evening for drinks and games. The bathrooms were a nice size. The rooms were super clean and in very nice shape. The rooms were bright and airy and the bed was comfortable. I believe next time we are all back in Newport, all 3 couples will be staying at the Newport Bay Club & Hotel. The only minus was that our room was not ready at our 3 pm check in time. But I am sure that is not a regular thing."

We were searching for a hotel that would give us the opportunity to explore around Newport while being able to walk back to our hotel. We landed on the Newport Bay Club and Hotel and were blown away by not only the hospitality that was provided by the staff, but how clean the room was and how accommodating they were. The front desk worker, Tim, was absolutely amazing. He was friendly, made sure we had everything we needed, outgoing, helpful, and even delivered a bottle of wine to us for getting married. Thankful is not even close to what we feel after our first trip to this beautiful place. We cannot wait to come back up every year and make a tradition. Thank you to Newport Bay Club and Hotel for making us feel at home and for showing us the beauty of Newport. If you are looking for a sign to book at this hotel, this is it!"

It did have a nice balcony overlooking water. $40/ day for 24 hrs parking turned out to be a deal.( compared to other parking lots and busy area) We could get our own car and come and go as we pleased. This hotel also convenient to walk to things."
