What Guests Are Saying

“We spent four nights in the Oak Suite just before Christmas. A memorable stay in all respects. The room was very large with a canopied king bed. Each breakfast was different and delicious. The staff could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.” — Francis C., 5 stars

“Stayed for 2 nights for a wedding. We stayed in the little red room, it was the only room available, and we were advised it was small, but found it to be fine and larger than some hotel rooms we have had. The B&B is in a great location, the rooms were clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Wine and charcuterie plates were set out each afternoon, and freshly prepared breakfast in the dining room each morning was wonderful. The B&B had a rooftop deck and covered porch for relaxing. Parking available behind the inn. Kim the property manager was very kind, professional and courteous. Lovely B&B.” — Rebecca R., 5 stars

“Everything about Hydrangea House more than met all of our expectations. Friendly and helpful staff. (Thanks, Kim!) Excellent breakfast. Afternoon charcuterie board and wine. Evening chocolate chip cookies. Free on-site parking. Easy walking distance to virtually everything in the downtown area and right across the street from the free trolley stop. Great room (Winter Garden Suite). My wife and I couldn’t have had a more positive experience. As soon as we arrived home we checked with our dog caretaker, looked at availability for the Winter Garden Suite and booked another stay for September. We can’t wait to return!” — Robert K., 5 stars

"My wife and I were looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of days to celebrate her 60th b-day. When we arrived we were very pleased with the appearance of the inn. The inn was built in 1867 and it is a bit dated but that adds to the beauty of it IMO. We had plenty of hot water and the room was actually cold from the AC. Mid August, hot outside and on the top floor of the inn. The breakfast was perfect each morning and the nightly cookies were a nice addition as well as the cheese / wine in the afternoon. Kim was a pleasure to talk to and it was obvious from our conversations that she is willing to work with the guests to make them happy. About a 1/2 mile walk down to the shops / waterfront area. There are other shops / restaurants within walking distance too. Our personal experience was great! We will be going back again, hopefully soon. Thank you Kim!"
