What Guests Are Saying
“Asked for early checkin, but due to staffing shortages, they were not able to get us in early without an extra charge. This was not really a problem, but would have been nice. The room was unusually large compared to what we expected and was very clean and neat. Would have been nice if there were more electric outlets spaced throughout the room, but not a problem really. Bathroom was very clean and maintained. The toilet paper holder was broken, but this was just a maintenance issue. The water was hot and plentiful with a good shower. Not a lot of bathroom amenities, but we bring our own anyway and could probably have asked at the desk. The bed, advertised as a queen, seemed more like a full size. It was an OK mattress; not terrific, but a lot better than beds at much more expensive hotels we’ve stayed at. The blanket, for us, was far too heavy as the room was too warm for us; we ended up sleeping just under the sheet. Probably not a major complaint from many, but was warm for us, even with the room heating system set to “fan only”. For us, it would have been nice if they’d had a lighter blanket tucked in the drawer or in the closet, such as we’ve seen at other properties. The breakfast is nothing special, although it IS advertised as “continental” so it is pretty much what we expected. Pastry, cold cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice. That said, they do have a nice selection of good pastries to choose from. Also, if you like bagels, there is a good shop, Bagels and Bakes, almost right across the street. They make nice bagel sandwiches and have good coffee. Parking is good and plentiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Some minor maintenance issues around the facility, like dingy lighting in the stair tower, but overall, a nice place to stay. This is our 3rd hotel experience in this area in 2 years, and based on this trip and the pricing, we will definitely be back to stay here. It’s not a 5-star hotel, but it’s not advertised as such. It IS clean, neat, and appropriately priced, and the guest ratings, overall, match what we found when we got here. It’s especially nice that this is a locally owned independent facility.” — weilmd, 5 stars
“Nice property & clean room, especially for the price. Breakfast was adequate. Lobby was large & clean. Check in & out was quick & efficient. Staff was courteous & helpful. Location very convenient & we felt safe. Liked the interior access to our room. Seemed like an older hotel, but well maintained.” — Jenice D., 5 stars
“A smaller privately owned establishment located right on curve of intersection so don’t miss the entrance. Friendly staff through out. Rooms were spacious with comfy beds and fresh towels. Eating choices are within walking distance” — lawtonjl2002, 5 stars

What guests are saying about Belvedere Inn.
"We often stay at the Belvedere Inn because we have family in the area and we find the hotel clean, comfortable and welcoming. On a recent weekend, I inadvertently left my Kindle book in the room when we left. I did not discover my loss until arriving home. I called the hotel and they had it! I made arrangements with a family member to pick it up and mail it back to me. The staff was understanding and helpful, and I appreciate their honesty and care of my property. We look forward to our next stay with the knowledge that guests are truly respected!"

View on Google"We only stayed for one night. The place was quiet, beds were comfortable and the rooms were basic, spacious and ok. I wish there was more lighting in the rooms. A complimentary continental breakfast was served from 7:00am to 10:00am. This hotel is just three miles from downtown Schenectady. This place is not as fancy as their advertisement present it to be, but for the price it was good. It is an older looking hotel. They lock the front doors at night and you will need a code to get it. I do like that. They have table and chairs to sit outside, and table and chairs to sit inside as well."

View on Google"The hotel was nice, it was a good value for one night. The rooms are a bit dated and dirty, and can stand to be renovated and cleaned well. Bathroom was nice, bed was comfortable. Not all lights worked. Outside door locks after 11pm for safety, they do provide a pin for entry."
