The Roxbury, Contemporary Catskills Lodging

"The rooms are the main attraction, but the little walking trail and history lesson by the falls is nice. There’s not much to do around there so everything is a drive. We knew that going into this. Chuck, at the front desk was dry and funny. Very helpful. Annalee, the masseuse was very professional and good. Just a heads up. You need to book massages in advance. Thank God we did that. Well worth the money. The hot tub at the HOTEL is in the crooked cabana with a bunch of people walking around. I liked the one at the shimmer spa at the MOTEL better. Go skiing 6 minutes down the road at Plattekill mountain or just go into margarentville or Roxbury proper, but there’s not too much to do. We love coming here to get away from the city. Best weekends ever when we come here. Cant wait to come back."

"We absolutely adored our “Maria’s Curtains” room, which was themed after The Sound of Music. It had a deep bathtub perfect for soaking, dual sinks, and ample space to stretch out. We particularly enjoyed the spa, which had everything we needed and wanted. The place has quiet hours and we never heard anyone else around during our time there. However, dining after hours in the late evening can be challenging, as many establishments in this part of the Catskills close early. So, be prepared!"

"Second time here. First time we stayed in the cinderella cottage where the attention to detail was absolutely mind blowing, and recently in their contemporary room. Both times our stay was great. The staff especially Kim and Grace at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. Our room was incredibly cozy, a perfect blend of fun and function. The hot tub was a great touch to unwind at the end of the day. Perfect getaway in the Catskills!!"
