“I recently stayed at the Dream Downtown using a Suite Upgrade Award. I was initially concerned about noise based on other reviews, but my assigned inward-facing suite (combined with the pool being closed for the season) made it one of the quietest rooms I have stayed in within Manhattan. I didn’t even hear typical street traffic or sirens. The property has an eclectic design with maritime influences. Upgrading to a suite highlighted these design choices, and the signature porthole windows were a unique touch. The management team provided great service and checked in to ensure my stay was going well. The staff also showed strong attention to detail. Upon check-in, I noticed a minor issue with a bathroom cabinet door not closing properly. The next day, it had been fixed completely without me ever reporting it. It is notable to see maintenance issues resolved proactively during routine cleaning. The food provided for the Globalist breakfast was good. However, fellow Globalists should note that this property usually adheres strictly to the Hyatt breakfast entitlements (i.e. no free ordering off the menu that some Hyatt hotels sometimes allow). “We had a great stay at Dream Hotel by Hyatt in New York City. The location was perfect for me, and the atmosphere was lively, fun, and full of energy. The hotel has a darker, stylish vibe that almost feels like a nightclub, which gave it a unique personality. The rooms were nice, and the property overall was very well kept. One night, there was music at the pool because of an event, but it was promptly shut off at 9 PM, which we appreciated. Every employee I spoke with seemed genuinely happy to be there and was accommodating to guests. The pool is awesome, and the servers were polite, attentive, and helpful. The rooftop nightclub was also pretty impressive and added to the fun atmosphere of the hotel. The coffee shop near the front door was top notch as well. Overall, this is a lively, stylish hotel with great service, a fun rooftop scene, and an excellent location. View on Google"You cannot go wrong with a Hyatt. They have high standards and it shows through their cleanliness, furnishings and staff. Our family of 4 stayed 3 nights at the Dream location on 16th and found the staff very kind, friendly, patient and accommodating. A special thanks to bellman Jay who stored our bags and arranged airport transportation, more like a concierge. I suggest you ask for Jay at the desk and tip him well - he takes his role at Hyatt very seriously and was very helpful. We stayed at Hyatt Centric closer to Times Square last visit for 6 nights and the experience was the same. High standards. Room was on the small side but normal for downtown."
