What Guests Are Saying
“This was my second time staying at the Evelyn, and it definitely solidified this hotel as the one I would most recommend to people visiting the city. First things first, the staff are incredible. Every employee we encountered during our stay, whether just in the hallway or someone we actively worked with at the front desk or breakfast, was friendly, professional, and great at their job. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed for a great stay. Particular shout out to Angel who helped us with our bags on the last day of our stay. Everything about the Evelyn is pleasant - it looks lovely, the music is atmospheric, the food is delicious (get a croissant!!), and the rooms are great. Excellent showers and the hot water takes no time at all. Really really comfortable stay. My mom also really appreciated that it smells nice when you walk into the lobby :) It’s also in a great location in the city, at least for our needs. Really close to some great parks and restaurants, and beautiful historic buildings. Convenient to get to from anywhere in the city.” — Lane B., 5 stars
“The Evelyn was a welcoming and beautiful home base for our visit to NYC. When we were done with our busy days, entering The Evelyn felt like coming home. The staff was kind and accommodating. My mother used a wheelchair for navigating the city and they stored and retrieved it for us again and again with attentiveness and care. My daughter arrived early and they kept her bags so she could do some exploring before time for check-in. Peter was exceptionally kind to us, patiently explaining something I didn’t understand about the bill and making sure our whole party had coffee every morning. Tashi went above and beyond, locating our van that had parked far down the street and directing it to the door of the hotel. We particularly enjoyed the fresh flowers and wonderful smell in the lobby. This was our second stay here and we would be happy to stay here again and again!” — Robbie R., 5 stars
“The Evelyn Nomad Hotel represents a typical New York Art Deco building with a stylish interior that keeps the spirit of that era alive. Our room was spacious and well-equipped. There was even a fantastic-sounding Marshall Stanmore Bluetooth speaker available. The room service was very good, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The staff at the bar and reception are helpful and friendly. Only the grab-and-go breakfast, consisting of two items, could be a bit more extensive so that one does not immediately want to visit a nearby breakfast restaurant. All interesting sights are easily accessible either on foot or by subway. One should plan at least 1-1.5 hours for the airports JFK or LaGuardia, but the connections by train and express bus or Airtrain are quite manageable.” — achimassenmacher, 5 stars

"We spent seven days here as a family during the New Year period and truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. Our room was so nice, comfortable, clean, and very quiet. The hotel’s ambiance is lovely — classic old New York style, with a very chic bar and an excellent on-site restaurant. New Year’s Eve was organized perfectly, and we couldn’t have imagined a better celebration! Breakfast was perfectly fine and sufficient to start the day. Bottled water was always available at the reception. There is also a good fitness center! The hotel’s location is absolutely outstanding — a true 10/10. Perfectly positioned between Upper and Lower Manhattan, it allows you to reach almost anywhere on foot within 10–30 minutes. The neighborhood itself is calm and pleasant, with lovely cafés and restaurants nearby, yet you are just steps away from all the must-see attractions in both directions. All the staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help — endless thanks once again! We felt comfortable, relaxed, and truly at home ♥️ Family Grasser"

The front desk was super nice so was the gentlemen Angel who helped with the luggage. The breakfast included with the hotel was super good and so was the coffee. I definitely recommend getting the cold brew coffee and egg and cheese sandwich! It’s part of the coffee shop next door. They also have a bar and separate restaurant in the hotel that you can access in the lobby. Room and bathroom are super aesthetic and bathroom has heated floors. You can hear the traffic and people from the room so if you’re not used to that bring ear plugs."
