What Guests Are Saying

“The Greenwich Hotel has, quite simply, ruined us for any other hotel splurge in NYC. The staff is just amazing and so welcoming, the rooms are incredible (stocked snacks and soft drinks at no charge? UNHEARD OF), the bathroom is luxurious with great water pressure, and the lounge and lobby are so relaxing and beautiful. The courtyard was closed for the Winter, but it looked gorgeous. The pool and spa services are unmatched, and it is such a serene environment. Don’t bother looking around anywhere else for a special stay and feeling pampered the entire time - THIS is the place. The room service and lobby food were delicious, and the rooms are thoughtfully designed to maximize living space. Requests are fulfilled quickly and with care, and there are many perks that come with your stay - house car, in room coffee and tea kettle/service, great marble soaking tub by request in your room, and all of the soft spaces, including the pool relaxation area. The neighborhood is awesome, with lots of small shopping places and unique spots to eat, as well as easy access to the WTC sites and memorial. We will definitely be back again and again.” — Lynn T., 5 stars

“Hubby and I stayed here for our 14 year anniversary weekend and we enjoyed it so much! The staff are all so nice and so helpful! The location is fantastic and the attached restaurant is very good. There are also so many great restaurants walking distance from it. The hotel is owned by Robert Deniro and he was actually in the lobby bar the first night we were there. They supply two baskets of snacks- one with small candies and the other with large snacks. They are free and replenished daily. Also all the non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary- so nice!! We have stayed in several nice hotels over the years and this was definitely one of the best overall. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to New York!” — Gianna K., 5 stars

“Another wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. It had been a while since we last visited but this hotel continues to provide excellent service to its’ guests. The rooms are extremely comfortable and I love the fact that they don’t charge for snacks and soft drinks provided in the room. Housekeeping is excellent and the showers are outstanding! Ultimately though what sets this hotel apart from many other 5 star hotels in Manhattan is the staff. We were greeted with warmth and helpfulness from everyone we came into contact with and this translates into a wonderful atmosphere. There is nowhere else I would consider staying when in NYC!” — holidaygiant, 5 stars

"Beautiful hotel with the friendliest most welcoming front desk and door staff-they really do make the hotel a home away from home. The hotel lounge is very cosy for Autumn and we were happy to wrap up and sit in the courtyard. Rooms were well thought out - large comfortable beds, bedside lights which can be found in the dark, blackout blinds, sheers and curtains, aircon which does exactly what you ask it to, and a great shower which you don’t spend half an hour trying to figure out. The free snacks were welcome after hours of walking each day. Tea and coffee machinery can be requested (a cup of tea is always welcome when up early with jet lag). One thing to be aware of: the rooms overlooking the street are noisy. Fabulous for people watching but best bring ear plugs because the refuse trucks and food delivery for the restaurant are just below, also we found children were running around outside the room at 7 am every day. I had ear plugs but it might have been tough if I hadn’t. Location of the hotel is unmatched. TriBeCa is a beautiful neighbourhood within easy reach of everywhere. We ate breakfast at excellent local diners and cafe’s and really enjoyed walking beside the Hudson for a change of scene. Subway for the West Side of Manhattan is super close, and for East we walked to SoHo to take the metro. This is definitely the place to stay in Manhattan."

"We go away on holiday fairly often and stayed here last year. When we left, I said it was amazing and wanted to go back. Well we have just returned from another few days and I can confirm this hotel is exceptional. All of the staff are extremely helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. They have a guest only lounge and eating area where we had dinner one evening which was extremely good. We stayed in one of their standard rooms which sometimes feel a bit like an afterthought - not at the Greenwich. Everything felt like it was made for the room and the bathroom, although small, had an extremely strong shower which was very much appreciated. Overall, we were sad to leave but will definitely be back."

"The hype is well worth it. Very welcoming staff, great rooms, and THE BEST shower of any 5 star hotel I’ve been too. Love that they don’t nickel and dime over the snack bar and the non-alcoholic drinks. I stayed in the junior suite and loved it."
