What Guests Are Saying

“This is our second time staying here and it will not be our last. This family run hotel with efficiencies and rooms is top notch and the quintessential ADK experience. Our room had fabulous views on a cove leading out to Lake Placid. Canoes, kayaks and paddle boats for guests. An indoor and outdoor pool. The sound of the loons in the morning was amazing. Walk to everything in town and a grocery store right up the street. The rooms are immaculate and beds so comfortable. The owners here are wonderful and have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. There are many new places in Lake Placid but if u want a quiet and true ADK experience do not hesitate to stay here. We Love it!” — mountainville, 5 stars

“A million dollar view- yet a quiet quaint place. The owners were so lovely. We keep coming back all seasons. May was stunning. We went on hikes, ran the Jack Rabbit trail and met a number of hikers from Canada and PA. On the property we saw: fox, beaver, loons, geese with babies, woodchuck, otters, & osprey !! Love it!” — Lrain, 5 stars

“We came on a fall weekend not really knowing what to expect. We were happy with the very rustic decor and comfort of our room. A perfect Adirondack setting. Convenient location…walk into Lake Placid and even closer nearby restaurants. The hosts were very helpful and you will find everything you need there .” — Jain R., 5 stars

"My son & I stayed for 2 nights, in Oct, wished it could be more. We absolutely loved this hotel, the views (lake), the location close to the town and mountains, the canoes (included), the kind family run service. We would happily come back & stay again. The room was comfortable and warm and spacious and we loved the wooden lodge style decor which is traditional rather than modern. Thank you- book direct for the best prices."

"This is and always has been a great motel. The owners and staff are outstanding. This level of interaction is how it used to be and how it should be today everywhere. Great service and location as well as amenity. Rooms are very clean. Highly recommended."

"Fantastic hotel, love the location and the views. The balcony view was great for morning coffee. Close to all that Lake Placid offers and had corn hole games, fire pit, lounge chairs, kayaks, beachfront and the view of the mountains!"
