“We stayed at the Inn during a time of personal loss, which brought us to the area. It would be difficult to say how very gracious and kind Adele, the innkeeper was to us. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate: decorated perfectly to suit the original history but with very nice touches that are modern. Comfy robes are provided along with snacks and chocolates, along with special homemade treats in the evening. The breakfasts are mouthwatering and served in a thoughtful and elegant manner. Adele went out of her way to accommodate us and made a very difficult weekend much, much nicer. I highly recommend the Inn to anyone who wants to stay in a lovely place that has many amenities and truly delectable food, along with a gracious and helpful Innkeeper. “What a wonderful two nights! My best friend and I travelled to Canadaigua to see a concert. We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast and it was PERFECT. The breakfast was absolutely delicious (homemade) and the owner was so kind. Very relaxing, coffee was delicious and felt very personal. The decor is very charming and the location was 10 minute walk to town. We spent one afternoon at Willowbrook spa - which gives you access to the amenities at the Lakehouse. “An absolutely wonderful stay at 1840 Inn. The Inn and rooms are perfectly appointed and extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were superb. Adele is a perfect hostess, meeting our every wish including gluten free. The location is perfect to walk to the lake and to other sights.
