"Overall I had a great experience. Was a bit of a challenge getting the hotel given the neighborhood (and the fact that it’s in NY) - traffic was insane. Neighborhood feels safe, I parked on the road with no fear of my car being stolen. Front desk staff was helpful; room was clean and spacious with a terrace. They folded the towels and face cloths into origami, which I thought was a nice touch. High ceilings in my room (room 206) were reminiscent of the Monaco Hotel in DC (sans the huge lion head above the bed - big plus). They’re in transition so the king bed was two twins stuck together. I didn’t really like the look of the sheets so I slept in sweatpants and a hoody. Window curtains seemed to get in the way of the AC vent which blocked the air circulation if I closed the blackout curtain. The TV was a bit of a brain tease to turn on but once you get the hang of it, it’s no different than the TV at your house. There’s some new investment being injected into this neighborhood with the repaving of nearby roads and new builds across the street (as of 6 September 2025). I’ll admit I was a bit apprehensive considering the negative reviews (I was ready to cuss Hotwire out on the drive up to NY😂) but I was genuinely impressed once I got to my room! I would definitely stay here again. It’ll be great to see how much more they’ve improved in a year’s time. 👏🏽🤲🏽"
