“Not only is this a beautiful and historic inn with incredible grounds in an idyllic, nearly lake-side setting, the owners are as friendly, kind, and helpful as you could possibly imagine. I did not fully read the instructions for check-in, they are a bit different, considering this is a owner-run business, but Beth was particularly understanding and helpful while I was a bit of an anxious mess. Sean welcomed us warmly, helped us to our room, and spoked to us at length about the town and gave us some recommendations for dinner. On top of all of that, the town of Auburn is so wonderful, it honestly made my husband and I have a “daydream conversation” about moving there. “Charming and quaint, and most importantly, a good night’s rest. We stayed in suit 23 for one night while driving through. This was a Sunday night, and there were only a few other guests there. Our room was so spacious and comfortable. It was very quiet! We really felt like we were the only people there. Location is close to a lot of restaurants in Auburn, and it’s also very close to a park with public access to the lake. We also drove by several wineries nearby.
