About The Hotel

Seascape Tropical Inn is a 4.6-rated (606 reviews) adults-only Old Town splash-pool inn at 420 Olivia Street with free breakfast, bike rental, baggage storage, private check-in and paid private parking nearby. Subratings run 4.5-4.9 with location 4.9, cleanliness 4.7 and service 4.7 as the strongest. Recent 5-star praised ‘typical Key West Inn — typical architecture, very pretty, good attention, very warm, includes a good breakfast.’ Another 5-star praised ‘lovely little hotel — small bedroom and bathroom, but the quaintness of the courtyard and splash pool directly outside your room make up for that. Duval Street a few yards away.’ A 4-star pushed back on a previous reviewer as ‘must be blind or have a vendetta.’ CANDID FLAG: a March 2026 1-star flagged ‘urine-stained bed and dismissive staff — checked in 4 PM, returned 10:30 PM, noticed stain, staff dismissive response.’ Small adults-only splash-pool inn with strong overall scores but one candid recent maintenance flag.

What Guests Are Saying

“Lovely little hotel, everything explained well at check in. Small bedroom and bathroom but the quaintness of the courtyard and splash pool directly outside your room make up for that. Duval street is a few yards away, Hemingway house is at the other end of the street. Breakfast is included but not great and there are lots of alternatives close by. Free reserved parking is about a 3 block walk away. We’d definitely stay here again.” — ToonBarmy, 5 stars

“Nice, quiet, but still centrally located hotel. All hotspots are within easy walking distance. The rooms are decorated in a Key West style. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend the hotel. Only the loud air conditioning could be replaced. And the “Crazy Chicken” wakes you up at 6:00 a.m. :-D. The breakfast, which is included in the price, is OK. Another positive aspect is the hotel’s free parking.” — Laura K., 5 stars

“Typical Key West “Inn”. Typical architecture. Very pretty. Good attention. Very warm. Includes a good breakfast. Coffee, Bagels, eggs, fruits, cereals, croissants, and a lot of delicious things. I loved. I would come back again. Super well located half a block from the main street.” — Iñaki G., 5 stars

"This was a nice spot for our 2 nights in Key West. We were here primarily to take the Ferry to Dry Tortugas National Park. We had 4 people (my husband and I and our 2 adult children) in the Havana Suite. The room was nice! Clean and with a nice bathroom. The second bed in the suite is in a loft. The spiral staircase is a little tight, and if you are tall, watch your head! The pool advertised as heated during the winter, is heated year round as it is a hot tub, not a pool. Not exactly refreshing on a hot June day....breakfast was good, but be aware the breakfast area is outdoors under an awning. If it rains, it needs to be rearranged to keep food dry (as we experienced) We enjoyed our stay! Walkable to some great restaurants and bars on Duvall Street."

"Solange was very professional and understanding of the situation I was in when booking the place. She made the stay that much more enjoyable. We stayed in room 6. The bathroom was designed a bit oddly as there was some sort of bath waterspout that you couldn't even use, and your feet would hit it when showering. The overhead shower seemed to be on the wrong wall in the shower. It was very uncomfortable to take a shower. The stairs going down to the hot tub area could've used a better hand railing. Everything was very clean. My only real request would be to add a small table with 2 chairs to each room to make it complete. Breakfast could have used a protein like sausage or bacon. Other than blueberry yogurt and boiled eggs, it was all bread, bagels and muffins. Staff should definitely make it very clear that you should drop off your luggage when checking in, so that you don't have to drag it 4-5 blocks down Duval and back to your room. I still give it a 4-star rating, because Solange truly was the most kind and professional person I've experienced in a long time. Give her a raise immediately."
