A recent 5-star guest wrote ‘the hotel’s location is perfect for walking everywhere in the historic harbor town… the views of the river are great, and the sunsets are spectacular’; another wrote ‘everything about my stay here was just perfect… it’s only one block away from Centre Street with all of the shops.’ Low reviews flag occasional understaffing at peak arrivals — one 2-star guest wrote ‘they are short on staff, the rooms were not cleaned and available and about 20 people were there waiting in the lobby for their room.’ This is a walkable historic-harbor Hilton, not an in-room-jacuzzi spa property; the appeal is the address a block from Centre Street and the marina, Hampton chain consistency and Hilton Honors points earning.
What Guests Are Saying
“Everything about my stay here was just perfect. Jessica and Eric at the front desk were super friendly and very helpful. The location is absolutely perfect. It’s only one block away from Centre Street with all of the shopping. A few blocks in each direction, you’ll find amazing restaurants and a lot of cute patio bars and live music. It’s located right on the Harbour so I was able to sit outside every evening and watch the sunset. The hotel offers a free breakfast every morning that changed daily. There were plenty of selections and everything was fresh and kept stocked really well. There’s also an evening reception with free snacks and half priced beer and wine. The room was clean and spacious and extremely comfortable. When I had one minor maintenance issue, they took care of it right away. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will stay here every time I visit Fernandina Beach.” — Michelle Z., 5 stars
“The hotel’s location is perfect for walking everywhere in the historic harbor town. There are several excellent restaurants in the immediate area. The views of the river are great, and the sunsets are spectacular. The hotel offers many amenities, including a daily social hour with substantial snacks and half price wine and beer. The pool is small but spectacularly clean and inviting. Plenty of towels available and a convenient changing room. Noise level is at a minimum, the walls are thick enough to muffle almost all sound from adjacent rooms and the outdoor noises. There is a sense of history all around and while the hotel has some signs of age, the amenities are all totally up to date. Coffee and tea available in the lobby all day. Several of the other guests told me that this is the hotel they return to for every visit to Amelia Island and we will also return again.” — Barbara B., 5 stars
“Great location in the middle of beautiful historic Amelia, you can’t ask for a better location if you want to be downtown. Check in was a little wait but nothing crazy. Our room was a one bedroom suite with a kitchenette, looked recently updated and was super pretty. Free breakfast was replenished often and was kept super clean. The nightly cookies at check in were such a literal sweet treat as was the friendly front desk staff! Would definitely stay again!” — meghan G., 5 stars

What guests are saying about Hampton Inn & Suites Amelia Island.
"Hotel was clean, welcoming and homely. Certainly like this better? it didn’t feel like a hotel lobby! Staff were great and accommodating at check in. Everything in town is within walking distance to the hotel making park and stay easy. Must have had an event or cruise leaving from here so breakfast was packed and there were no tables left."

View on Google"Quality experience as always at Hampton Inn. No issues. Beautiful room. The amenities were top notch. Everything was clean and functioning. Probably one of the largest rooms I've ever gotten. I was a little disappointed with breakfast. It was free; however, the selection and quality seemed lacking to me in comparison with other Hampton Inn experiences. In addition, I felt it was a bit tacky that the morning breakfast service staff put out a basket where guests could leave tips. I guess I've never seen that and too me it seems tacky and I think they're enough places I'm being bombarded with tip requests that I don't need to think about that when getting my Included hotel breakfast."

Salty Pelican 5 minute walk is great for food and spectacular sunset views. Will definitely return."
