Orchid Key Inn

"We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Orchid Key Inn!! We would give it 10 stars if we could, and we will definitely be staying here on a return trip to Key West. We were 5 adults in 3 different rooms and everyone had a wonderful experience. This 1960’s motel has gone through a loving renovation and it shows. The rooms are bright, clean, and spacious. The bathrooms are updated and have a large shower, and the beds are SO comfortable. Genuinely one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve slept on in a long time. Outside the rooms, the rest of the property is also beautifully maintained and operated. All of the people at the front desk are terrific. Truly can’t speak more highly of the whole team at the Orchid Key Inn. Our Christmas Eve flight home got cancelled late in the evening and the front desk went above and beyond to make sure they could squeeze us into available rooms they had, and even went so far as to give us complimentary drink vouchers to the onsite bar. They made sure we were taken care of and had someplace to stay while our flight got rescheduled, and helped us rebook a taxi to the airport for the next day. The front desk also assisted us with renting a golf cart while we were there, and they discount the parking and include onsite cart drop off and pick up if you order it through them :) The front desk staff are gems and deserve all the praise for helping make our vacation so wonderful. The location is great. The hotel sits right on Duval Street and is an easy walk to lots of local restaurants, bars, and shops. A beach and the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory are a short distance down to the end of Duval. If you drive or rent a car/golf cart, there is plenty of onsite parking available, but it’s not necessary with how central this hotel is situated. The pool and hot tub are secluded and relaxing. There are lots of lounge chairs and tables around the pool for seating, and we were never unable to find a spot to relax. They also provide sunscreen lotion and complimentary water by the pool which was a sweet added bonus! The Orchid Bar is also great! It’s small (there’s only a few seats inside) but it has a fun vibe and the drinks are generous in size and well made. They serve signature drinks with their own house-infused liquors, cocktails, wine, soda, etc. We met a lot of people from other hotels nearby who came just to try the bar because it was so good! Outside of that, the bar also hosts a lovely continental breakfast in the mornings with toast, pastries, deli meats, yogurt, juice, cereal, etc. We truly could not speak more highly of this hotel. We’ve been to Key West a few times and we will never stay anywhere else besides here. Thank you to the whole team for making our vacation so wonderful!!"

"I had an amazing stay at Orchid Key Inn in Key West. The location is perfect – right in the heart of everything, yet the hotel feels quiet and relaxing. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with recommendations and anything I needed. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and very clean. I also loved the pool and the bar – such a great spot to unwind after exploring the island. Overall, it’s a beautiful boutique hotel with a great atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again!"

"Superb in every way. When you first pull up, you think it’s going to be a tired old Motel but it is anything but. It gives off a 50’s vibe. The rooms are fabulous and the staff are all very attentive. The pool and hot tub are great. Best of all is the tiki bar cabana for very nice breakfast and afternoon libations"
