About The Hotel

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft Myers East - The Forum by IHG is a 4.4-rated (616 reviews) top-rated brand pick in Fort Myers at 3427 Forum Blvd. Subratings: 4.7 cleanliness, 4.6 location, 4.6 rooms, 4.6 service and 4.5 value — the highest cleanliness and service scores of any of the eight hotels. Amenities include free parking, pool, free breakfast, kids activities, pet-friendly rooms and business center. Recent 5-stars specifically praise the hotel as ‘sets the bar!’ within the IHG hospitality group with ‘very clean’ all areas and polite/helpful staff plus amazing breakfast. CANDID FLAG: multiple recent reviewers reported a $75 incidentals hold beyond the reservation charge that wasn’t communicated at booking (‘Check your statements after you leave’) — worth noting when checking in. A pool-and-value IHG brand pick rather than an in-room-jacuzzi property — the appeal is 4.7 cleanliness and IHG One Rewards recognition.

What Guests Are Saying

“This hotel is in the same hospitality group as the hotels that I am employed with. This hotel sets the bar! The hotel was very clean! all areas! Every employee I encountered was polite and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the pool was clean and refreshing. The housekeeping staff was great. The rooms were so very clean! I am the GM of 2 award winning hotels (different brand) and this hotel needs exceeded all expectations! There also happens to be a few little critters that hang out near the trash enclosure that gave us some laughs! The location is close to the airport, to I75, not far from the beach. If you are looking for a clean affordable place this is it!” — Amber W., 5 stars

“Great experience from check in to check out. You can tell they value their customers there. Had such a great trip and staying there was amazing! We were able to check in early even though we understand if we couldn’t.” — Jessica B., 5 stars

“I read reviews of this property before going and wondered if I was going to a hell hole or a nice place. Thankfully we ended up at a very nice place. We were warmly welcomed by Mateo at the front desk who recognized our membership status and gave us clear directions to our room. Our room (410) was bright and clean and looked as if it had been refurbished in the not too distant past. The air conditioner worked well and was about as quiet as an air conditioner of its type could be. All the lights and outlets worked well, too. Breakfast was a typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast. The cinnamon rolls were in a warming tray, there was a toaster that worked well for my bagel, and the eggs, bacon and biscuits looked fresh (though I did not try them). The breakfast room was scheduled to close at 9. The woman in charge went out and looked up and down the halls at 9:05 then turned to the room to announce a last call for the breakfast. She did her best not to cut anyone off too soon. Checkout was easy and friendly. Why not a 5-star? The “suite” was one room with a 30” divider between the sofa and the bed. The sofa had no throw pillows, which were sorely needed due to its depth. So we resorted to using bed pillows. The sofa was just “there.” No tv to watch (it could be seen only while lying in bed). There was one bath towel per person. That was 2 towels short for our needs, which aren’t out of the ordinary. We were given extras when we asked. But we shouldn’t have had to ask. The Keurig-style coffee pot was tucked under the microwave. That made it impossible to open it to pour water into it. And why are hotels not putting at least plastic cups in bathrooms for use when brushing teeth? OK. Not much of this is different than in most Holiday Inn Expresses. But this one could have had 5 stars if it could have broken out of the mold. But I’d return here again if I had to make another trip to Fort Myers.” — RGaitherHI, 4 stars

"We stayed at this Holiday inn express for five days. Liz and Jose were awesome! A few things needed to be addressed when we first checked in. They took care of my requests immediately! The maintenance person was very nice and fixed what needed to be repaired."

"A quick, short stay. Clean, modern facility. I didn't utilize any of the options, but as I walked through I could tell it was properly cared for in all areas. There was a business computer niche section in the main area. A large section with tables and chairs. As well as a small seating and TV spot by reception. Outside the windows I noticed the clear water of the pool. My room was a king size bed, comfortable but not firm - which I'd prefer, but most guests wouldn't I'm sure. The long desk/chest unit had drawers, work space, mini fridge, and very mini microwave. TV is satellite and was not receiving a signal when I arrived. The bathroom was stocked with Dove brand full size dispenser bottles. I left too early to see the breakfast offerings, but my experience with Holiday Inn properties would leave me in no doubt it would have been a decent selection of options."

"I can review the whole way since it's my first day. However the hotel looks so nice in lobby etc. The air conditioner doesn't shut off none of the buttons work. The refrigerator works but not as cold as it should. It's close to a lot of things Edison mall , flea market, nature areas. Very quiet. Lots of parking. The breakfast is very good. You can have scrambled eggs potatoes or bacon depends on day, apple, orange, coffee, toast, bagels, pancakes and more even orange juice milk and more. Ice machines on floors 2 4 and 6. However the only two bad points was the air conditioner button wouldnt shut it off and it was Christmas when I stayed there. There was no Christmas decorations or even a tree. Pool out of service. I guess you didn't think I would notice but I did. One of your staff members stole a box of chocolates from my room. That was a present. Thank you your hotel totally ruined my Christmas. Just to let you know everything I had in my room I recorded. Thieves."
