Recent 3-star reviews cite AC issues (“Room was nice and roomy. Staff was very nice. Only complaint is that the AC was not working properly in our room. It was always between 77 & 79 degrees. The thermostat literally showed ERR”) and mandatory amenities fees (“Dumb Amenities fees… the amenities fee that was charged upon check in. We had no prior knowledge”). CANDID 1-star: “Bad experience — look elsewhere. I checked in - in the morning, dropped my bag in the room, and stepped out to get a coffee. While I was out, I received an unexpected call about a personal emergency and had to fly home immediately. I returned to the fro[nt]” (dispute over cancellation). Another CANDID 2-star: “Hidden Fees, Sleepless Night, and Disappointing Service… I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay here on June 14 was extremely disappointing. First, I booked through Priceline under the impression that I had already paid all required charges. However, when I arrived, I wa[s]” (fee dispute). Best only for Eurostars-loyalists booking direct to avoid third-party-fee-dispute risks — verify all fees at booking confirmation.

What Guests Are Saying

“Hotel was nice, the people next door were loud but other than that it was a great experience. What really brought light was the doorman Teddy. He was the nicest doorman I’ve ever encourntered! Me and my family grew a nice friendship with him and he made our trip truly special.” — Ella A., 5 stars

“Cozy hotel, with very large and comfortable rooms. Breakfast menu, good quality. Friendly staff. Only flaw noisy air conditioner. Central location.” — Eva, 4 stars

“Spacious rooms, super clean and friendly staff. Love that the windows open in room and the gym is Will equipped, and usually not many people there. It was like I had my own gym to myself. The biggest problem is the air conditioning/heating unit. It really needs to be attended to. It’s annoying. It makes a ton of noise and the only way that I could deal with the Room and sleep was ask team to turn it off completely for the five days I was there. The good thing was that. It was neither too cold, nor too warm, but I got lucky. The events are a real problem. The breakfast that’s included is fantastic and nourishing and filling. Great location within walking distance to Georgetown Dupont Circle, and Pennsylvania Avenue. The Cost value benefit is not great. I feel it is a bit over priced for what it offers. Compared to other hotels of the same ranking and price structure.” — Cristina K., 3 stars

"I attended an event at the St. Gregory Hotel in Washington D.C. It was a reception and Gala for The Future of Money, Governance, and the Law. While attending Hung the director of food and beverage was very accommodating and exemplified the best in customer excellence. Thank you to everyone that helped make our event exceptional. I really enjoyed the food as well."
