Fairmont Washington
"A 4.5-rated Fairmont courtyard property in the West End (named Georgetown) with 4.7 cleanliness and pool."
About The Hotel
A 4.5-rated (4,081 reviews) 4-star Fairmont Washington DC Georgetown at 2401 M St NW — a Fairmont-branded courtyard property in the WEST END (despite the “Georgetown” name it is actually in the West End at 24th and M, near Georgetown but not in Georgetown proper). Subratings 4.2-4.7 with cleanliness 4.7, location 4.6, rooms 4.6, service 4.6, sleep quality 4.6 and value 4.2 (softest). Amenities include EV charging, free internet, fitness center, pool, bar/lounge, bicycles available, babysitting and kids activities. Legacy Hot Tub Hotels frontmatter markets in-room jacuzzi suites; TripAdvisor amenity listings do not confirm in-room whirlpools — verify at booking (Fairmont Gold suite categories in particular). Recent 5-star reviews focus on named-staff Johanna at Royal Service and Georgetown neighborhood walkability. A candid 3-star: “Not up the Fairmont Gold standard… We spent almost one week in a Fairmont Gold suite, with access to the Gold Lounge” (implies Gold-tier disappointment). A CANDID 2-star: “Fairmont Washington NOT a Luxury Hotel. The Front Deck Clerks were lacking & non-responsive with questions. They did not explain how the lobby floor elevators operated.” A 5-star counterpoint: “Overall 4.8/5. The property is absolutely great and so is the service. Highly recommend it for all.” Best for Fairmont-loyalist West-End-adjacent stays wanting a courtyard-style pool property with 4.7 cleanliness — verify Fairmont Gold expectations.

“If Yotel is the future, the Fairmont Washington D.C. is the absolute classic up to maximum power! My stay was a total immersion in sophistication. As long as you step in the lobby, the luxurious environments and the imposing architecture already show that the experience will be differentiated. The room is a true latifundi of comfort: spacious, airy and with an impeccable cleanliness that gives pleasure to see. And speaking of pleasure, the shower is simply excellent, of those you don’t want to go out ever again! One detail I loved was the care of the mini bar. In addition to being super well supplied with varied drinks and snacks, the kit of amenities (with quality coffee capsules, selected teas and water always at hand) makes all the difference for that moment of relaxation after exploring the capital. It is the perfect balance between the welcoming of a home and the luxury of a five-star hotel. If you want to be mimated in D.C., Fairmont is the right choice!” — Idiomas E., 5 stars
“While in town for a wedding, we had a lovely three night stay at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington DC! Upon entering the welcoming lobby, we were warmly greeted by the front desk staff, who were efficient and very friendly. Our room was spacious and very nice, with a really comfortable bed. I also used the adjoining gym, which was large and well equipped, and ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The house made granola is not to be missed! In fact, our server told us that the honey in the granola was made by bees which were kept on the roof of the hotel. Everything was great, but I really wanted to point out what took our stay to another level… the service. Everyone, from the front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff, and concierge were very professional and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thanks for a great stay… I would definitely return to the Fairmont on my next trip to DC.” — likeanicehotel, 5 stars
“Overall 4.8/5. The property is absolutely great and so is the service. Highly recommend it for all. I read the reviews about the AC and temperature not being lower than 73. I called ahead of time and the Fairmont Royal Service team ensured the temperature in the room will be adjustable to our needs. It was 100+ during July 4th weekend and they ensured the temperature in the room was comfortable. The pool is the only downside if traveling with kids. I didn’t know the pool is not Fairmont pool. It is actually owned by a proper gym so the hours varies too. Hence I haven’t given the property a 5/5 because I had kids and cared for the pool. It is a great lap pool for excerise and the gym is great too for adults. There is a whirlpool, steam, sauna, and lots and lots of excerise machines. Service, staff, lobby bar, and Georgetown location was ideal and great. Highly recommend it for all.” — Havan, 5 stars

What guests are saying about Fairmont Washington.
"My husband and I enjoyed a 2 night stay recently. The staff were friendly and the inside lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Our room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The proximity to local eateries was great; we walked to the DuPont Circle area and enjoyed a meal and some shopping. After a long day of walking the streets of the Capital, we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and steam room. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay again."

View on Google"Wonderful stay at this amazing hotel! The service is top notch, the lobby is spacious and light filled and has the most comfortable chairs and sofas. The room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and roomy. Most incredibly comfortable bed. Gym is massive and has everything you could possibly want. The price was very reasonable for the considerable value we received. Location is excellent too!"
