What Guests Are Saying

“We had a wonderful experience. This was a “staycation”—we’ve enjoyed Ritz hotels around the world, but wanted to try this one close to home because of the convenience, interesting architecture, and neighborhood. We also wanted to share the Ritz experience with our young son (this was his first time at a Ritz). It did not disappoint. We enjoyed the kids oriented amenities (e.g., check in activity bag and stuffed animal). The facilities are beautiful and well-maintained, the suite was very spacious with top notch design and care (and a really nice coffee machine). Everyone was very polite and almost everyone went above and beyond (as Ritz Ladies and Gentleman are known for). We look forward to returning and may make this a Thanksgiving family tradition. Almost every staff member went above and beyond (which is something we have experienced and expected from Ritz hotels). Any request was quickly handled with options. For example, I thought one of the lamps didn’t work in our room and let the front desk know. Within minutes an engineer was there (it was my mistake for not turning on the entrance light in the suite which also controlled that lamp). We also collect Ritz lions and was hoping to get one for our son. The lady who checked us in said that we couldn’t do the wagon and pick a stuffed animal until we were checking out. But, I remembered a message (and the website) says that it the stuffed animal would be available “upon arrival” (which makes more sense—why let the child wait until they leave to get a new friend?). I asked through the chat this time and Wes went above and beyond—he came to our room within a few minutes and brought a Ritz Kids lion (which is discontinued but he had some for just this type of occasion). He had one for my son and one for us (I mentioned that we have a collection). We loved the stuffed animals and will cherish them because of the memory and that they are unique now (discontinued). Housekeeping stopped for turndown service and then left numerous chocolates (not just one or two). And, the gentleman who brought our room service breakfast was great—not only excellent in set up and demeanor, but was friendly and engaging with our son. I highly recommend the Ritz Georgetown.” — Eman R., 5 stars

“Every so often you meet people who are simply excited to find ways to please you. It gives you a sense that, despite the world we live in today, there are some really good people. We went to the Ritz, expecting a fairly corporate experience and, instead, had some of the kindest front desk staff we have ever met. They went out of their way to be helpful and celebratory. And, as a result, we had a wonderful weekend in DC. The drinks, food and room were fabulous - but, most importantly, the people were truly kind. Thank you!” — golflefty, 5 stars

“Absolutely amazing 1 night stay at this hotel June 26-27, 2026. This Ritz-Carlton absolutely sets the bar for service!! Everyone we interacted with from the valet, front desk, housekeeping to the bartenders and servers, were all at the top of their game. Honestly, Marriott should have new employees spend time at this property to observe the ladies and gentlemen who work at this hotel to learn how to provide guests with a memorable experience. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable!” — cck46, 5 stars

"The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown is a truly unique hotel that blends historic character with the customary Ritz-Carlton level of service and amenities you expect. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful, polished, and effortlessly comfortable. What really stood out, however, was the food—specifically Chef David. The dining experience was nothing short of outstanding, even by Ritz-Carlton standards. The freshness of the ingredients, next-level flavors, and absolutely gorgeous plating made every dish feel special. It wasn’t just a meal; it was something to behold. This is a hotel that excels not only in hospitality but in creating memorable moments. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a refined, distinctive stay in Washington, DC."

Not only did we have a great experience planning and working with them but our guests raved about the beautiful and cozy vibe throughout the property and the fabulous staff. We have always felt truly taken care of here. It's really like a home away from home."
