About The Hotel

A 4.5-rated (4,992 reviews — third-largest sample in the DC set) 4-star The Dupont Circle at 1500 New Hampshire Ave NW — the flagship Doyle Collection boutique directly on Dupont Circle above the Metro station. Subratings 4.3-4.8 with location 4.8, cleanliness 4.7, service 4.6, sleep quality 4.4, rooms 4.3 and value 4.3. Amenities include valet parking, free internet, fitness center, bar/lounge, kids TV, pet-friendly, taxi service and conference facilities. Legacy Hot Tub Hotels frontmatter markets in-room jacuzzi suites; TripAdvisor amenity listings do not confirm in-room whirlpools — verify at booking. Recent 5-star reviews focus on the direct-on-the-Circle location (“Great location. Very central and safe surroundings”), heated bathroom floors (“bathroom was clean with heated floor”), named-staff service (“excellent service from Estella, Caroline, Lamond, Ayesha, Marissa, and the bell team John, Edward”). A CANDID 1-star flag reads verbatim: “COCKROACHES IN THE ROOMS. That is it, that is the review. I booked a 3-night stay at The Dupont Circle Hotel. On night 2, several humongous cockroaches emerged from the desk/air conditioning area and ran about the room.” Balance the strong overall 4.5 rating and 4.7 cleanliness subrating against this specific 2026 flag — request a room recently deep-cleaned and inspect on arrival. Best for Dupont-Circle-first Metro-adjacent boutique travelers accepting the caveat.

What Guests Are Saying

“If I could rate a place or person based on integrity, I would give this place a 10/5! I left my wedding ring after checkout, and the front service desk representative, Mariah, and security team rep, Ernesto, kept it secured and returned it to me. The hotel is located in the circle by cute coffee shops and restaurants. It’s a great area to walk around and soak up the DC hospitality and creativity. Highly recommend” — Christina F., 5 stars

“Our favourite hotel in DC. It’s a great location, the rooms are lovely, and best of all, the staff is fantastic! We had excellent service from Estella, Caroline, Lamond, Ayesha, Marissa, and the bell team John, Edward and Debebbe. And shoutout to housekeeping, as well. Apologies to anyone whom I’ve forgotten, because everyone works their magic to make your stay special!” — InternatTraveller, 5 stars

“Great location. Very central and safe surroundings. Rooms were nice, comfortable and the bathroom was clean with heated floor. The service was very good from doorman to reception and the cleaning service. Good supply of water. The Pembroke, the hotel’s restaurant has very good food and service. Book in advance as its always crowded.” — psusc, 5 stars

"We love this hotel! Owned by the Doyle group, based out of Ireland, it truly provides Irish hospitality and friendliness along with the best pint in the District. The staff are wonderful and Tom and Liam are top notch professionals. Restaurant is very good and we loved all of the servers we've had during our multiple stays. Beds are super comfortable with crisp linens and duvets. Reasonable garage parking across the street."

"We live very close by but stayed at the DuPont Circle Hotel for our Anniversary as a staycation away from the kids. It was marvelous- the very best thing was the front desk staff who were darling and welcoming. We also often go to the restaurant the Pembroke for a fancy cocktail or dinner. It’s lovely."

"Best treatment I’ve received in a hotel. They’ve gone out of their way to make me and my 4 year old comfortable. Plus it’s convenient to everything we need to do and the metro. The restaurant had fantastic food. I’m impressed. Edit: one negative comment. Like the review below me, I agree the air smells musty and is triggering my mild allergies. I would not recommend people with allergies stay here. Maybe they need their ducts cleaned."
